VCore 98 was the last bow in my trust on reviewers.... in general. From the most well known to the least one. I was reading such many great reviews on this stick and so I pulled the trigger and ordered one. I previous owned both previous VC98 red and galaxy..... yonex continues to create muted and mediocre sticks that only have great paint jobs.
The days of Dr98,DuelG,TourF,Xi,ai.... even si....etc are over!
I am just waiting to try previous VC95 to just see what the fuzz is all about.... I have no expectations after owned ezone98/100 2018/2020, VCP97 310/330/HD blue and green, and VC98/100. The only modern yonex I enjoyed was the VCP97 blue 330..... but it’s not for competitive tennis and 2-3 hours marathons.
The common thing on the above modern yonex sticks is no feedback. AT ALL! And this has not only to do with VDM.... the mute trend started from ezone 2018 and VCP97 blue. And now all the yonex sticks i tried I cannot tell where the ball is gonna land after impact. I cannot dictate rallies.... I have no confidence even on swinging their racquets they feel so unNatural to me.
Don’t get fooled by the fancy yonex marketing. VC98 21 is just a more muted 2019... and that gives you a sense of more solidness. Power, spin and sweet spot are a tad more. Except that it’s another lifeless racquet. Even baboblasts have more ball connection. Buy it only for the paint job. I still hate their grips that have no flare at the bottom. Also 1HBs stay away. Goodbye yonex.
