Thank you Federette.

Maybe Wilson will take the hint and make the non-Autograph look like this . . .

Peterfig? Are you listening?

Thank you. I also think the colors reversed much more beautiful.
but first I would have preferred a 90 and not a 97.

The K90 was 12.0 oz. unstrung as well, just like this new RF97 Autograph. Both are also 12 pts HL unstrung. So both have the same static weight and balance. What we don't know are the weight distribution and swingweight of the RF97 Autograph.

Strung specs with overgrip:
359 grams
8 1/2 pts head light
68 flex
331 swing weight

The original PJ is fine, what is up with everyone wanting an entirely matte black finish anyway? Grow up.

As for me, whether its with a red racket, black racket, or a wooden racket, I know I'll still look better on the courts than all of you.

I also prefer that combination. Actually love it!
Sorry PetFig, no offence. I am really both very glad and proud, that you are..."one of us"...on that board who took the unique chance to present his work. Even that I dont know you in personal, I am very happy for you and your design, but I 'd like something more black_y, than red_y.

I also think that, even the final production colours of the racket is your design, I am pretty sure that it's only one of...dozen?...hundreds?...alternatives patterns, that you offered through your work at Wilson. So, I think I can understand your position, as a crucial partner in the colouring, and that you may not be -fully- able to declare your wish about the colours, your choice as a potential user I mean, and not as a part of the equation "painting the prototype".

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have a feel couple days now, that you are "under attack" regarding the colours. I thought that I had to remind to other members of the forum, that...Obviously...you did not pick up that specific design. You just created -probably- among others, and the marketing department along with Roger...(suppose)...had the final word about colouring.

Anyway, I do like the new racket. Besides, I dont care about its "dress", more than her real "body" and its proportions (specs).

Again, congratulations and wish you a long-long partnership with Wilson.

First of all, well said. very nicely written message.

I just want to point out that PefFig was never under attack by anybody in here. A lot of people have voiced their unhappiness with the final design.
We all understand that it may not have been PetFig's most favorite color combination also (even if he may never really be free to admit it).

In my opinion, it's advantageous if wilson and other manufacturers (& their designers) view such messages as constructive feedback instead of personal attacks. All feedback has been very respectful and constructive.
I have not read any personal attacks on anybody.

New PJ sucks, Fed looks like he is holding a frying pan....so much promise on those close up pic releases, matt black with a slight hint of red accent was all they need to rob my bank account...and then this garbage PJ...

Having now looked at the specs of the PS97 Fed autograph, does anyone think (as I do), that this racquet will be very similar to the 6.1 95? Maybe the feel will be slightly different but from a headsize, beam width, and weight perspective, they are nearly identical... And don't forget the 6.1 is part of the Pro Staff line historically, it all started with the 6.1 Pro Staff Classic. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the PS97 cannibalize some of the 6.1 sales.

Impressive photoshop skills! And also this is what the paintjob should have been and we all know it. This racket looks amazing and has a classic timeless, simple, design.

Why oh why couldn't they have chosen this variant? It is so obviously better

Fed looks like he's a bit more sculpted these days - like taking off a few pounds. He has a more fitted shirt too.

It's been said that he changed up his diet. But yeah, when watching his 2nd round match it seemed like his quads were jacked and cut more than in recent years. Man, I have to hit the gym more!

Last year it seemed like he had more going on than just his back. He confirmed that he lost weight (in a bad way), and it was apparent. May have been sick (digestive) - I've been there myself, unfortunately. Changed up the diet a couple of years back and it made a huge difference.

Yes, impressive to say the least. Very nice of Federette to join the boards just to share these photoshops...;)

Any word if the PS97 (non-autograph version) will come stock with a leather grip or if it will have the same paint job as RF97?

iceman_dl6

Only the autograph version comes with the leather grip.

If that's the case, it would be a real bummer since it would bump the weight up to 350g strung with an aftermarket leather grip and overgrip. Reason being swapping the stock synthetic grip to leather will increase the weight by around 15 g.

Therefore,
315g unstrung + 15g leather grip + 20g (strings and overgrip) = 350g

That's a positive, IMO. I would also add some lead to the hoop to maintain the balance.

We're still hopeful about the other models' PJ

Wilson gave the (previous) Six.One and the Pro Staff almost the same paint job, so there is little to no hope that there will be a noticeably different paint job within the same line of racquets now…

Hey, in the 2nd and 3rd photos you can see Judy Murray. Imagine that, Murray playing right next door to Fed and baby Fed as well as Istomin. That'd be so awesome to see Istomin surrounding himself with the lower guys. What a great sport.

Also, I wonder if Judy was scouting out Feliciano. Or should I say, Deliciano
She was most definitely watching his knee bend on serves, volleys, etc. and additionally checking how loud of a grunted he is ;)

I presume the PS 95S is going to be given the new PJ as well? Any news on whether Dimitrov will be sticking with this frame?
