Master titles are great, just not that great. Seeing Zverev above Alcaraz on this list confirms what I was thinking. And I like Sasha.

Alcaraz wins his first Rome title and his 11th big title to now be the standalone big title king among the new/next gen players.

Crazy start to his career. What a level he has when he needs it the most. A rare trait in a tennis player.

Yes. He is a perfect 5-0 in slam finals at the moment. And overall 12-2 in big title finals. Insane conversion rate from him.

I don't see him slowing down for a while, but I do expect Sinner to race past Zverev soon and pick up the chase with Alcaraz.

Carl and Jan operate on a very high level, physically and mentally. The RG final was crazy. No toilet breaks, no dubious tactics, no time-wasting, no arguing, no nothing. Just great, high tempo tennis and superb sportsmanship. It was truly a privilege to watch them perform.

many compare sinners level with nole and are saying that he is nole2.0

but nole had both much greater season (2015) and especially year (W15-RG16) than sinners whole career (up to now)!

season 2015: AO, W, USO, WTF, IW, miami, MC, rome, shanghai, paris = 10 big titles (3 slams, WTF, 6 masters) on all surfaces!

year W15-RG16: W, USO, AO, RG, WTF, shanghai, paris, IW, miami, paris = 10 big titles (4 slams. WTF, 5 masters) on all surfaces!

and another important stuff, nole had positive h2h vs all main rivals but negative doping tests while sinner has negative h2h vs his main rival but positive doping tests!

yes and both 2 big finals loses was vs GOAT himself!

Alcaraz wins his 13th big title

5 slams and 8 masters.

He needs AO to complete the career slam, and needs Canada, Shanghai and Paris to complete the career golden masters.

Good job, man. One of the few threads that I look at. Hope you'll keep it going.
Enjoy the fact that other than the slams, there has been a good variety of players winning the Masters 1000 titles thus far this year, from Carlitos winning 3, Draper / Mensik / Ruud / Shelton / Vacerot winning one each.

All the wins are interesting: Carlitos winning a new title in each of his wins; Draper having an excellent run at IW and winning his first significant title; Mensik breaking through on the big stage as a promising youngster; Ruud having been derided for winning lesser titles only for so long, breaking through to join the 'big title' list; Shelton's improved form converted to a big title win.

My favourite story is Vacherot. Not just winning his first ATP title but doing so at this level after entering as an alternate to the qualifying draw and steadily working his was up.

Let's see what Paris offers us ..........

Sinner officially enters double digits for big title wins and equals Zverev's haul of 10 big titles.

He has won his first Paris Masters.
