As always , I am taking the year a player turned certain age as criteria instead of exact birthdate. So a player born in late year will have advantage but this is how it goes.

  • Zverev among the next gen has been winning titles for a long time. He won 19 titles by age 24 which was amazing. But he has slowed down a lot.
  • Alcaraz is a freak. He won 15 title by age 21 and still ongoing. He can theoretically match Zverev's 19 by end of the year.
  • Sinner is second best of the lot already at 16 and also can theoretically reach 19 by end of the year.
  • Thiem, Medvedev, Ruud, FAA all did not win a single title until they were 22. Rune is yet to be 22 and has won 4.

Just to add our favorite big 3 + Murray + Wawrinka + Delpo and Cilic to the list.

Wawrinka barely registered until 2014 where he won more than a title in a year. In next 2 years from 2014 to 2016, Wawrinka won more than half of his career title haul.
11 titles won in the 3 years.
Over almost rest of the 20 years, 5 titles won.

We can clearly see from graph who showed potential early on.

Only zverev sinner and raz showed potential to be top player.

Raz is better than all but Nadal
Sinner is better than Andy Murray
And Zverev is better than all below Murray by age 24

Then zverev has gone down a lot so anything can happen but let's see.

Nice effort.
I believe simply using ATP points for achievements and top5/top10 matches/wins for difficulty could provide a very good big picture.

10 cakewalk ATP250 worth only 2500 points, 2 tough slam finals count 0 title but fair 2600 points, and top5/top10 matches/wins will also reveal.

What a beast Nadal. With a few less injuries would be the GOAT.
How would Nadal have won more slams? He maxed out RG, so he would've won more of the other slams! We waited a combined 30 years for him to win 1 AO + WB, and Djokovic was banned from AO. And he won four US, and that was about right for him.

He wouldn't even need slam record. He was pacing himself to be big title winner. by 24 he had CGS, Olympics, 6 of the 9 masters. 2/3 Queens club on grass.

No one else is that accomplished yet. Maybe Raz can but he won't be Olympics winner.
Fed made his first RG final at age 25 , just like Djokovic. Nadal had won all 4 slams by then.

Only Alcaraz is comparable to the big 3 here and he has 3 more years to reach 33-43 titles.
Yes but seems unlikely
That would need to win 28 more titles in next 3 years. Even Raz is not that good (at least yet). Did even Nole ever won 28 in 3 years? Only Roger has done so where he won 34 in 3 years but a lot of them were 500s and 250s

He's at 15 titles now. Djokovic had 16 at the end of 2008, the age Alcaraz is now. So Alcaraz could potentially win a title this fall and tie that, so he's right on par with Djokovic but behind Nadal.

Yes but this is completely different territory. Women likely mature faster and those days they played smaller tournaments as well.

How many top 10 Steffi played in her 79 vs Djokovic's 34 ?

Yes, Women definitely mature faster. Victories over top 10 players in the same years (18-24) total 137. I should think every final was against a top 10 player.

Not really

He is worse than big 3 Murray and very likely sineraz by age 24

And he was far worse than all of them in slams. Like not having a top 10 win in slams by first 11 matches.

It's just he started so early and in bo3 he was so formidable yes. But even then not goat.

Yeah, Murray was more successful during big 3 era.
