NFL 2025-2026 Thread

If the Seahawks win the SB, they would be statistically the best SuperBowl Champ of the 21st century, based on DVOA.

The only team this century to enter the superbowl with a higher DVOA rating was the 2007 Brady-to-Moss Pats, who were upset by Eli and the helmet catch.

Eagles of last year vs Seahawks of this year would be a banger. Seahawks have the capacity to blow out the Pats but I'm scared of the NFL trying to keep eyes on the game. Though they didn't seem concerned with that when the Eagles were going ham on the Chiefs last year. Just hoping for a well officiated game and no gifts to keep the trailing team in it just because.

I don't really have any animosity for the new age Patriots. Do find them a bit boring, and obviously want K9 to get a ring.
 
Belichick not a first-ballot HoFer, that's funny. Have to imagine all the recent sh*t with ol' girl cost him a few votes.

I am still traumatized by superbowl XL ref interference. The nfl obviously preferred a win by the blueblood Steelers over my upstart hasselbecks.

In this case, it’s not clear who the nfl prefers. My Seahawks have since because a fan favorite overseas, while pats are sort of villains outside of New England, which boosts my confidence in the result.

I’m less worried about the chances that Sam has to play any meaningful downs in the 4th qtr than I am about the universe punishing me at a later date for having such a ridiculously good team to root for..

The latter is definitely happening. And I’m bracing for it.

The best Seahawks defensive player and arguably the best defensive player in the NFL (and only player in nfl with 80+ tackles, 10+ tackes for loss, and 10+ passes defensed) walked off of practice with an ankle injury.

Fan confidence just went from 90% win probability to 55.

Congrats to the Seahawks but man that game was not entertaining. The QB play was terrible on both sides. I know most of the attention will go toward Maye’s performance but Darnold had at least 6 turnover worthy throws.
 
Darnold probably had his worst performance of the last 10 games. He plays his usual B game, this game would have been a score more like 42-7.

Those two garbage time patriots TDs happened because the Seattle D was already plotting how to sneak the Gatorade cooler behind McD.
 
This season was kind of fun, since Seattle folks could see this coming from beginning of the season, while pundits kept saying “the field is wide open this year with no dominant team.”

By most season-long stat measures, the 2025 Seahawks were easily the most dominant SuperBowl champ of the 21st century.
