Fantasy Playoffs advice needed:

Okay so I got Devonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell locked in as my RBs 1 and 2, but I'm having a hard time deciding my flex and who I should start at QB:

Flex (pick 1) Jay Ajayi, Lamar Miller, Latavius Murray
QBs (pick 2) Matt Ryan, Derek Carr, Tom Brady, Marcus Mariota

Thanks!

Yeah I have Carr and Ryan starting. It feels wrong benching Brady after his big game last night, but that game is in Denver, and Denver has the #1 ranked pass defense in the NFL.

Yeah I'm gonna roll with Murray, feels like he's the best bet against a less than imposing Chargers team. Miller is banged up, and lost touches to Blue last weekend, and Ajayi hasn't had a noteworthy game since Miami last played the Jets back in week 9.

Brady is a must start unless you have another top 5 qb which you do so play the matchup

Murray is a must start every week. Top 5 standard and ppr since he came back from turf toe. Washington and the fb have been fazed out and Richard is just s change of pace. Murray is a workhorse now behind one of the best olines and has a favorable schedule. Put him in your lineup and keep him there for the rest of the year

Only two more games left, hopefully I win this weekend's semi and then I'll be in the final! :D

So who should I take out, Carr or Ryan?

Matty Ice and Tomothy Brady for the win! :D

Along with Le'Veon from whom the Bell tolls, Devonta Freeman, and Latavius Muzza! I only wish my wide receiver situation was a bit better, wasted two picks on guys that are unplayable these days (Allen Robinson who I have since dropped, and Brandon Marshall) and Julio Jones is looking highly questionable. :(

That means I gotta roll with 3 of the following guys: Stefon Diggs, Malcolm Mitchell, Brandon Marshall, (unplayable) Julio Jones, DeSean Jackson, Sammy Watkina

You have good matchups for your WRs. I'd play Watkins vs Cleveland at home and, taking a tip from a fantasy expert I knew, Jackson bcoz he's in a prime time game on MNF vs a porous Carolina
secondary.

Yeah I'm putting in D Jax over Stefon Diggs for right now, but I guess if Julio Jones can't go then I'll start Diggs. Melvin Gordon going down last week really hurt me, because now if he misses the rest of the next 2 games (rest of the fantasy season) I can't even drop him since he's on my can't cut list.

Three enter and three survive to get to Week 16. The arrogant @Steve0904 continues to lead in the TB. He has experience with three-way ties.

A quick question: should we continue the competition into the playoffs if we haven't settled this by the conclusion of Week 17? You would have a total reset beginning with WC weekend.

What say you @Topspin Shot and Steve???

Don't see why not. I would like that. We kind of did it last year with the playoff predictions anyway (in case you didn't know or remember, I won that too).

P.S. What can I say? If I've been branded as arrogant I may as well live up to it. ;):p

P.P.S. Had no idea I led the TB'er.

Tied for first in "Best Fed Fan"...one must be arrogant to live up to that!

If there's still a tie in Week 17 the three of us should pick all the games instead of just one. That should settle it. Then a new contest for the playoffs.

Thanks, but I don't want to change the rules mid-competition. It will either end with an outright winner or the TB will be used...if all three of us agree, I'll extend the competition into the playoffs if necessary.

I'll blame @Feña14 for this if I lose:

Tennessee by 7

Picking them in my Yahoo Survivor League. I think they'll dispatch of the lowly Jaguars team, especially since they just fired Gus Bradley, and he had to awkwardly fly back with the team knowing that he was toast. How ****ty is that? What a terribly run organization to allow that to happen.

It's a Florida thing...the NHL Florida Panthers fired HC Gerard Gallant in the midst of a road trip and dumped him on the street to hail a cab to the airport in Raleigh NC.

Derek Carr has exited the Raiders game with a serious looking leg injury. Huge blow to Oakland's playoff chances if it's serious. Just hope they can hold on to this lead so I don't get eliminated.

SB Nation pegged it as a broken ankle.:(

If I lost Mariota to a broken leg, you shouldn't be hurt by losing out to a measly broken ankle.

Guess I'll be hunting @Feña14 down and leaving him a big lump of coal under his tree!

So we both got knocked out by the Titans!

I've only heard vague news about the injuries, but sounds like Carr and Mariota are both done for the season? Broken leg and ankle would suggest so. That's such a shame, I was looking forward to the AFC playoffs this year. Wonder who the Patriots are going to play in the Super Bowl :p

Carr's injury is also a broken leg above his ankle. The injury does weaken the Raiders' chances for the division win if KC can close with two wins but it's next man up in Denver next Sunday for McGloin. The Broncos will be eliminated from the playoffs if KC wins at home Sunday night. Whether they would have much fight in them in that scenario remains to be seen.

Oakland is definitely down a notch but KC and Pittsburgh, if they hold off Baltimore for the AFC North title, won't be pushovers for the Belichicks.

In the NFC, I'm liking Atlanta more each week. They will be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs. A much improved defense is taking pressure off Matt Ryan and he is producing.

Oakland ran the ball well from what I saw, but yeah, their defense is susceptible and no Carr means I can't really take them seriously as a contender, personally. Steelers and Chiefs are the only real obstacles for the Patriots, but you just know they'll execute the perfect game plan against both of those teams.

Atlanta do look good yes, it'll be interesting to see how they play in the playoffs when games seem to be tighter and more nervy. Will the dynamic offense still be there? If so, they're definitely a dark horse in the NFC. I like the Packers to be the opposition for New England though, Seahawks are wildly inconsistent and it's probably a year too early for the Cowboys imo.

I get this feeling we're heading for another NE-NYG SB showdown. Lots of great teams as always, but it seems that any year that both the Giants and Patriots are playing well, they end up in the SB. I also think both of them have pretty good balance on defence and offence.

Nobody in the AFC is beating the Patriots, especially if they get home field which now looks even more likely than it did before. They own Pittsburgh, and I don't think KC can beat them. KC has done this a lot recently. They look great in the regular season and underachieve in the playoffs. If Baltimore can squeak in they always seem to play the Patriots hard regardless of being home or away. I thought Oakland had a good shot primarily because of the pass rush, but with Carr gone their season is probably gone unless McGloin is half decent.

Denver will be lucky to make it, and even if they did I don't think Siemian is good or experienced enough to beat the Patriots. Denver is turning the ball over at critical junctures this year. Miami's a long shot unless they can show up next week and make people think otherwise, and Houston is even longer.

In the NFC I'd go with the Giants experience over teams like Dallas, Atlanta, and Detroit. Green Bay's defence is not good enough IMO, but Giants vs Seahawks would be very interesting.

Steelers are just a tad bit better when Big Ben starts so the 27-16 "ownage" in the week 7 matchup will be tough to duplicate, especially without the Pats leading receiver (Gronkowski) and tackler (Collins) in the lineup.

Belichicks are known to take away your best weapon on offense but the Steelers offer a tough decision...focus on Antonio Brown and let the Bell toll for thee or answer the Bell in all his different configurations and lose track of the SteelAir attack???

If the matchup happens with no injuries or bad weather factors, Steelers will get in the 20s on the scoreboard. The defense then needs to pressure Brady to disrupt rhythm...the common thread when New England is beaten in the postseason.

This game will be a good one if it happens. Pittsburgh needs to take care of business first today.

We've seen some teams play that spoiler role this past weekend though. Kind of annoying how teams showed up to play like the Cardinals, Jaguars, Browns, etc.

Two survived the weekend...do you guys want to play it out through the playoffs or cut it off at Week 17???
I can't remember if I posted it before, but how about @Steve0904 and I pick all this week's games as a tiebreaker? We can make our official pick and if we're both right, then we'll look at who got a higher percentage of all the games? If we're both wrong, we can go by the points.

So just to be clear, you're saying we make one sudden death pick and if one of us is right and the other is wrong then the right pick is the champion, but if we're both right then someone has to win at least 8 games to 7 out of the remaining 15. And if we're both wrong then the points TB'er that we've used since week 7 will come into play?

If so, I'm good with that.

My official pick will be Atlanta by 14.

Yes, exactly. Also the official pick has to stick to the rule of not picking the same team twice. Obviously that doesn't apply to the rest of the picks. Bucs by 7 is my official pick, I'll do the rest before Sun.
