Kickoff is tomorrow night!

Welcome back!

Same rules as last year.

1. Pick a winner straight up and add margin of victory for TB purposes (cumulative). No repeat pick of the winner as you advance

2. Limited to three picks of the same "pigeon" so don't roll up on weak sisters repeatedly, although most of '17's suspects do seem to have vastly improved their rosters.

The usual suspects:

@T1000 @Feña14 @Big_Dangerous (spreadsheet help?) @Steve0904 @Topspin Shot (Darnold Era begins!)
@oztennisfan @Rafaisdabest @125downthemiddle @Power Player @gino @AustinTx24 @Seth @hollywood9826 @osutennis24 @Federer and Del Potro

Week 1 Schedule

Atlanta @ Philadelphia (TNF)

Pittsburgh at Cleveland

Cincinnati at Indianapolis

Tennessee at Miami

San Francisco at Minnesota

Houston at New England

Tampa Bay at New Orleans

Jacksonville at NY Giants

Buffalo at Baltimore

Kansas City at LA Chargers

Seattle at Denver

Washington at Arizona

Dallas at Carolina

Chicago at Green Bay (SNF)

NY Jets at Detroit (MNF)

I think the Ravens stopped trying after the first quarter, which was a good thing. I’d of been even further out if they kept going hard

I read someone say it was like an Alabama game vs Div 1AA where they go to the running clock to get the game overwith.

40-0 Ravens showed mercy.

I heard that too. At least the Bills fans had the playoff appearance last year, it’s not looking good for them this time round.

Their lone appearance in two decades set back NFL offenses more than two decades. I was there. Thankfully, not inside the stadium to witness less than three yards and a cloud of dust.

I seem to remember the wind playing havoc with the passing game that day! But yes, I don’t think clear skies would of made much difference :p

Sunny but cool (54F) and breezy...EverBank sits on a small strip of land between two fingers of the St.John's River so there's always some wind. That day wasn't as severe as many games I've been there to work. Taylor and Bortles just plain sucked that day, combining for less than 200 yards passing. Bortles actually gained more yards rushing than passing. Ugly game.

At least the Bills excuse was that the Jags had a legit good defense.

Blake Bortles' only excuse is that he is named Blake Bortles and was gifted with possibly the worst QB name in history.

At least BORTLES is relatively short and fits nicely on a trim little bikini bottom, unlike ROETHLISBERGER.

First casualty of Week 2. Baltimore is great at home on TNF but have only one win on the road back in 2008.

Road team usually sucks on tnf but last year I picked the bengals at home against a rookie making his first start on a short week and got burned. Lesson learned don’t pick games with Cincinnati in them lmao

I'll have fun at the bowling alley tonight not having to listen to all the idiot Ravens fans talk about how great the team is and how they are super bowl faves. Now I wont hear a peep, wont see any T-Shirts that say "I Bleed Purple" or any of that crap. It really makes my night that much more pleasant.

The way these fans around here take up for Flacco, and no other athlete really confuses me. He has more games like last night than week 1 and has his entire career. Lamar if he ever gets to start will never get the same opportunity and patieice from the fans that Flacco has gotten. Also doesn't have as good of a defense that Flacco had.

My question about the Poes centers on their defense...they made Red Rifle look like he's Canton bound just 4 days after shellacking Buffalo. Are the Bills that bad? Usually defenses aren't that schizoid. I know Moseley went down early and he calls formations but he's not Ray Lewis yet, is he?

I think the answer is yes. Yes they are. The Bengals have a competent QB, the Bills started the worst stating QB in the history of the league. N. Peterman has basically had the three worst starts by any QB that has ever lived. They have no WRs either. People look at the fact they made the playoffs last year, but forget to look at how fluky of a situation it was that allowed them to make it. Most metrics had them as the 21st best team last year and they lost three starting O. Lineman then had a guy get hurt.

The Ravens ain't as bad as they showed against Cincy. Those Thursday games are always crap shoots. Moseley ain't Ray but he is pretty darn good. Not many teams have A.J Green like guys either. Ravens and Flacco for whatever reason struggle against Cincy in Cincy. Its easily Flacco's worst opponent from a Turnover standpoint.

Also a very close call for @Feña14 .

Just three of us left. Let me know if you want to accelerate the adrenaline by doubling the required picks in Week 3, a la Survivor League (two in Week 3, three in Week 4, etc).

Nope, no Foles Gold for Philly this week. Fitzmagic in plenty of supply.

Thanks for playing!

Another game like that and Jameis "Eff her in the A" Winston will be looking for a job. Something tells me with his history he wont take the backup thing very well.

At least I was right about Bortles not being any good :)

Best of luck to all remaining players.

Hoodie setting up Bortles for the AFC Championship fall by allowing him 377/4 TDs in a meaningless Week 2 game. Champion coaches do that. Pederson and Payton both have rings and are the keys to understanding Fitzmagic, no?

I wouldn't put it past them. These are the genius that know a ball left outside in 50 degree weather will lose pressure if it was filled up at room temperature 2 hours and 15 minutes before game time. They don't take anything for granted.
