Nice Racquet Stand

I've been trying to find a stand for my racquets for ages but couldn't find a nice one.

As an experiment, I purchased this Ukulele stand (https://www.muziker.co.uk/bespeco-uke05n) and it turns out it does a great job!

Thought this might be useful for some others out there.

Here's an image so you can see it in action. It comfortable holds 15 racquets

This may be the most humorous post I've ever seen on TW. I mean, if you have a small stringing service, maybe. But just to be "organized?"

I donated more than 50 racquets to my local junior tennis league when I moved to FL about 3 years ago, and only moved about 12-15 racquets. I'm back up to 20 or so now. The 4-6 actives stay in my bag, and another 12 or so stay in another bag (I only moved 2 bags). The rest? That's why God invented closets.

I purchased a used Yonex rolling demo rack from my local tennis shop to hold 15 racquets. Pretty cheap and an easy way to keep my memorabilia organized.

Some of us like displaying our rackets ;)

I bought one from Amazon for around $60. Very sturdy and the top portion that the racquets sits on is padded. The brand is N/N if your looking, they have a couple different colors also.

Looks very cool. Thanks for the tip. Any idea where to buy this one in the US?

You clearly need to read some of @sureshs post ;) This is exactly what many home stringers need.

Babolat was going to make one pre-Covid then pulled the plug. I could have 20+ frames any given day that aren't mine and I would love to purchase two of those bespeco-uke05n stands if I can find them in the US.

Did anyone find a US seller for these?

I don't follow. I am not a stringer.

Read this post #3 in this thread by @TNT34.

@TNT34 claims the OP's original post is the most humorous post he as seen on TW. Clearly he hasn't read many of your posts which are actually quite funny. The OP's post is helpful to stringers and I've reached out to the company trying to find a US dealer for those Ukalalee stands as I would like to purchase two of them.

Those stands seem much better for tennis frames than this:

in the meantime, I am looking at this to replace the two cardboard penn marathon boxes that I have been using for years. So yes, the OP's post was helpful to me.

Got to looking at the little metal racquet stands on Amuhhzon that are about 20” long and roughly $60-70 apiece. I ain’t got no time for that! I keep lumber in my shop 365 days a year so had everything I needed minus a couple of pieces of 3/4” pipe insulation long enough to one-piece each rail so a trip to HD for that and maybe two hours of time and a twelve pack, I built this then threw a couple of coats of paint on it. Holds 35 racquets…no rhyme or reason to the length and made it as long as the longest 7/8” dowel rods I had in the shop. Rails bow outwards slightly in the center and understandable at this length…I’ll remove the racquets/insulation, add a strap/brace underneath the rails in the center to draw the spread back together, then two-piece the insulation on both rails.

my brothers live in Dublin.. and a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins in Warner Robins..
I may know some if they’re here in WR. Used to do quite a bit of deer and hog hunting in Laurens Co just outside of Dublin many, many years ago.

I like that stand…looks good. This one holds 10, could easily make them to hold 20 and not take up much floor space at all.
-yeah, my thoughts exactly (floor space)
-also the "bowing issue" you had on the one you made is not much of a problem with this one
-yonex has a nice modern version of this one ^
-i tried to find a picture of it, but this one ^ was the first i could find online, fast

Mine is just shy of 60” outside to outside. I’ll fool with the little bow it has in the middle at some point this coming wknd. There wouldn’t be any bowing with the one you posted…the 1 x on edge in the top rear would eliminate that. Could build one to hold 20 and prob be about 42 to 45 inches max in length.
