The explosive Aussie, who celebrated his 26th birthday yesterday, has not played since falling to Dominic Thiem at the Australian Open in February.

"Super excited to be coming to Mallorca," Kyrgios said. "Grass is my favorite surface. To be coming to Spain, Mallorca, I'm super-excited to go there and see what I can do. Hopefully, we can create some memories there."

No word if Kyrgios will have a hit with Rafael Nadal, Mallorca's most famous reside, who has battled the Aussie on grass in the past.
Toni Nadal who is a tournament director at the Mallorca open appreciates Nick for his showmanship. Its glad that Toni knows his business. He is glad to say vamos to "one of the biggest attractions in tennis after the big 3". We ask our TTW correspondent @MichaelNadal for more juicy details

He's been on that Jack Sock schedule lately lol. Why has it taken him so long to play? Anyone actually know?

Ah lol, that actually makes sense. He doesn't wanna have to construct points lol.
"yeah nah mate. why bother constructing points. i'd reckon playing trick shots would be much easier. btw did i mention i'd rather stay up late and chat up some girl in the bar than practice" ;)

just follow his Instagram and you’ll see what he’s been up to. Playing basketball chasing tail and hanging with his buddies. No tennis. Such a monumental waste of his prime tennis years.

He has been training and has posted tons of videos of him in tennis practice sessions. Tennis is definitely on his mind and he has made it clear that he always intended on coming back

Yeah, I follow Nick on Insta and about half of his content is always tennis-related.

This will be Kyrgios 3rd straight 1st round loss. 4 if you count his last minute withdrawal against Murray.

If it weren’t for the Covid ranking freeze he would already be out of the top 100

After today Kyrgios seems to have lost his last remaining virtue: Covid responsibility. In the 1st set he appeared to be berating the unfortunates in his box for being the only people wearing masks.

He posts on social media to make himself relevant. How many first round matches he’s gonna lose?

Can't believe this clown is posting about Murray match instead of preparing for his own match.

Got bagelled in the last set. Underhand serve... Sounds like another tank job.

I watched tennis all day yesterday. By the time the Murray match ended (I will say they need to limit the number of times players can leave the court.) I was tired and in no mood to watch Kyrgios ***** and complain and stomp around the court...and tell the ump that "taking a ****" is part of the game. He got whipped by a guy who works hard to be the best he can be considering the tools he's been given. Nick has been given the entire tool chest and he doesn't care. He said he's out there to play for the crowd. It's not about winning the match or to be the best. He's just out there to show up and make a few fancy shots and he's good with that. I am done watching his garbage matches. I'd much rather watch players who want to win and care about the game and care about winning. NK is a sideshow at this point. His best years are fading away like my interest.

As long as he plays solid, disciplined players like Agut, he will lose. He tanks matches once he realizes he doesn't have what it takes to come back. He's not a disciplined player. He has no passion for the game. Only his persona.
