Hate to beat a dead horse but any UPDATE on a confirmed drop date for the Vapor Pro?
Are these just a remixed vapor x?End of March. Could always change depending on possible supply chain issues
Are these just a remixed vapor x?
That's the impression I've gotten from all the industry contacts I've spoken to. It seems like the X chassis (sole, midsole, plastic clip) married to a redesigned upper. Fit was described to me as the same as the X. A laceless NXT is definitely also a real thing for somewhere down the line
Hey everyone,
I recently bought my first pair of tennis shoes. A pair of discounted Nike Air Zoom Zeros. I really like the way they feel connected to the court and give me a lot of stability to move laterally (at least compared to my ASICS gt2000 running shoes) but unfortunately I believe they're too narrow for me. I'm getting foot pain on the outsides of my arches.
Is there any pair of nikes I can buy that fit a bit wider than the Zoom Zeros? I've heard these aren't that good of a shoe anyway. I'm going to try to return them. I don't know if they'll break in either. I've put 3 hours of court time into them and they don't feel any better now than before.
Federer in Doha should use the new Zoom Vapor pro ... we'll see
Federer probably won't use it (as seen in the images above), but Kyrgios, Khachanov and Azarenka are already using it ...I have just looked at a few Nike shoes choices and some of them seem to have a funny bottom (from outside). Appears as if they were running or hiking shoes rather than tennis shoes. Forgive my comment if you are Nike lovers but can't help it for the unusual styles when I am looking at them from below. What are bottoms made of?

Saw Rublev wearing the Vapor Pro's and they look almost like a cross between the X and the Vapor 6, which could be a sweet shoe.
On a different note, does anyone here have experience playing on clay with clay soles? I find out I'll be coaching for the summer on clay courts and I don't know how much of a difference it makes to use proper clay court shoes.
Which clay court shoes do you use? There are slim pickings right now (though I can maybe wait until the French before I pick up a pair).Makes a big difference. I won't go back
I play on clay all summer, had clay shoes but finally moved to all courts. I wasn‘t able to slide properly, maybe I‘m to slow and don‘t have the right technique. With all courts I‘m able to although it‘s a little tricky to change directions at first...Saw Rublev wearing the Vapor Pro's and they look almost like a cross between the X and the Vapor 6, which could be a sweet shoe.

This looks like the new Vapor pro with old air Zoom cushioning. Why can't nike add the react cushioning on this shoe as well ? i never really like the zoom cushioning, not very responsiveFederer probably won't use it (as seen in the images above), but Kyrgios, Khachanov and Azarenka are already using it ...
This might be of interest to some of you -- enjoy!

What’s Nike’s launch date for the clay season?
I hope the Open Nike colors are something better.Clay VC4s:

Looks very similar to his 2017 clay season outfit:
Not the pink stuff but I got the Montreal/Cincy 2019 shirt and wanted to get the AO21 shirt but it is expensive. Basically his clothes look good in anything except pink.Does anyone actually buy rafa's pink apparel? I honestly find it baffling.
I personally never see anyone wear Rafa apparel at tournaments besides his hat.
Yeah I think that's the issue with rafa apparel regardless of the colour, it's expensive. Not the pink stuff but I got the Montreal/Cincy 2019 shirt and wanted to get the AO21 shirt but it is expensive. Basically his clothes look good in anything except pink.
Exactly, it’s why I don’t buy much of the “tennis” Nike clothes cause they are so expensive. Like, a $150 jacket cause it has the logo of Rafa/Roger? No thanks.Yeah I think that's the issue with rafa apparel regardless of the colour, it's expensive.

I used to buy his stuff. But it's been many years.
I'm not big on the clothes that Nike puts him in today.
I would rather just save the money and go out to play in regular clothing.
Are they still quite slim? I’m tempted by the bright mango but my natural size always feels a little snug and sizing up can get uncomfortably big.New Rafa shirts are nice material, but seem a little short.

That’s always been the case since mid ‘00. He was the ‘Agassi’ was that gen w/ the bright colors, and innovative clothing, but wasn’t as popular/controversial as Agassi was, imo.Although I hate that Nike always puts him in pinks and purples and other bright colours, these dynamic colours match his style of play in the same regard. Matching colour characteristics with his personality on court. I reckon he'd look less interesting in more muted or classic colours Federer wears, in comparison.
Guava FTW.
