I’m a fan of the Alcaraz look. Bring on era of him looking unique to all his fellow competitors.

I mean it’s the same outfit Tiafoe has

Underwhelmed personally, looks like a funfetti cupcake

& for the record I’m with you he needs his own line. Maybe even slap his name on the vapor pro 1 call it the CA1 like adidas did with the barricade 7 and Novak Pro

I feel the same way. Nike has access to so much design and production talent (even in their tennis teams) that I would trust them to do very interesting things with patterns, but these large graphic prints that run across the whole shirt in this US Open range look more like something Athletic DNA would come up with than Nike.

Nike has done some good stuff the last few years (last years clay kits were great imo) but something weird is happening with Nike Tennis and some of the choices to do with very large fabric prints, strange gusseting on shorts, odd neckline shapes etc etc.

There’s clearly a push to satisfy some designers own agenda vs what appeals to the masses. All around perplexing. To your point about necklines and odd cuts, the 2022 alcaraz us open top never sold out. Still some out there, generally consumers don’t want this stuff. Just like J lindeburg, they’re picking the wrong hill to die on. Shame really, they had such a strong run. Lately it’s been hard to support them, even though I’ve been a Nike guy since I was really young. Brutal, I really want to buy the stuff Carlos uses in majors

Sinner, Alcaratz, Rune (even Nadal when he played lately...zoom Cage 3 I think) use "old" Nike shoes!
Thankfully Tiafoe (and probably Kyrgios) is playing with a new model of Nike shoes

It‘s crazy how many shoes the players need this year… Zverev 3 pairs vs. Sinner, Foe walking on with 2 pairs in hand. Durability issues?
yea I think it has more to do with them wetting out due to how humid it is up there + foe sweats like crazy to begin with

Ok, that‘s maybe right, didn‘t watch the game. But Z did only switch shoes, kept the same socks when he changed shoes in the last changeover.

Try them on court and you'll see. It's all functional
Damn, unlucky for Carlos and Francis: Nike took away the square/zero collar functionality, put them back in a non-functional round crew collar. How are they even functioning? If my sponsor did that to me at a Slam I would be big mad. ;)

Haha. Did they ever do the square neckline on a tank? I can't remember
