Nike 2023 General Thread

Kinda like this one. Not sure if I like it enough to buy though.

On another site it says that in 2023 the Nike zoom vapor jordan 3 (white and blue) will be released again.
Who will wear them? Maybe Kyrgios?

I am guessing MAYBE once per quarter or to line up with grand slams or something
Why is the 9.5 coming back and not the x's?

i wish Nike would re release them every 5 year anniversaries like they do with air max 97, 90s, 95s but again do they sell enough of the 9.5's to warrant re releases

Anyone know if there's a chance of a reissue of the Vapor 9s?

JFC, guys. They re-released the shoe we were all asking for. The 9.5s were better, and more beloved, than either the 9s or the 10s. And they're the ones that will make the best casual shoe as well. We never thought that they would do this, and they did...and now ppl are like "Well why didn't they do X instead?"

Sheesh

How do you know they actually re released cos you asked?

Logically these are left overs from the factories in the pandemic surely given 2 years the factories were closed on and off

Because Fed wore the 9.5 for a very long time and it was overall a better shoe and probably easier to manufacture

Someone said they were federer's shoes for a long time so that explains why they are back
RF wore the player edition shoe of whatever Vapor was out at the time (until the ON shoes). For example, he wore the 9.5 chassis from 2014-2016 and the 9.5 Flyknit (and sometimes the 9.5/AJ3) chassis in 2017.

First we had the 'sunburnt cow' range, now for AO '23 we get the technicolor vomit range; at least there's a white on white for those of us not wishing to revisit 'Yellow Submarine'.
*If only there was some way to produce a more selective, even tasteful regurgitation of the pre-digital age, for those that are too young to have experienced all of it firsthand.

*Off topic old guy rant - please ignore.

Not sure. I’ve yet to try either shoe.

Also you know the vivid purple advantage top with the green glow zip

Is there any word whether they are releasing the bandana to match it in green glow?

So far all i seen is the single wide green glow premier wristband.

Nike seem to have all the standard colours for the victory shorts ie black obsidian white red and royal blue

But the current advantage shorts with the slit diagonally on the pockets seem to only come in black white and obsidian

Has there been a university red or game royal blue colourway in this iteration?

I remember the previous interaction had the side pocket on the side horizontally to allow for another ball which was good functionality wise but didnt look as good

I try and not be hater but Nike outdone themselves with this AO open.. haha.. I don't think it can get much worse than this...

From Nike's website: "Plus, there's a graphic inspired by Australia's terrain, in honour of one of tennis's biggest tournaments." - It may just be a generic topographic map but it is certainly meant to be representative of that, thought that would have been pretty obvious
That’s explains a lot
