In my opinion these kits are awful. The topographic idea is pretty cool, but terrible execution. Adidas looks much better this aussie open. AA and womens kits look top notch.
And I could be wrong but the nike crews look lower quality compared to last years.
I just bought that v neck alcaraz wore all year, the wimbledon one and the zip henley and tbey’re top quality.
These seem bad from photos.

What is the use of Nike offering various apparel for the Australian open and spring 2023 if in the end, the line worn by the players is reduced to 2?
One is worn by Nadal and the other by: Dimitrov, Shapovalov, Tiafoe....
Maybe Fritz is different and Kyrgios would have been too ??

I agree that NikeCourt Dri-FIT Advantage & NikeCourt Dri-FIT ADV Slam ranges have been top quality in 2022. The non zip AO ( NikeCourt Dri-FIT Slam ) don't look 'flowy/breathable' compared to the other ranges. I'll probably buy one though and if I do remember, I'll give my feedback.

Yup. I bought two crews and two zip henleys this year, they are awesome. Nike quality is top-notch right now.

I can’t keep track of the Osaka GPs: when did they come out cause she is never playing/wearing them, where are they available, is the shoe discontinued, etc.
The Cherry Blossom one came out with the other Nike AO range. I'd say these are still being released just like Rafas colourway on the Cage 4.
EDIT: sorry - I find all this via the Nike.com.au (depending on your location in the world) HOWEVER, GP Turbo will be in the womens shoe sizing, so you'd need to calculate accordingly and hopefully in your size.

We can’t all agree on the visual look and design of the Nike gear but the objective quality and performance of Nike apparel materials is extremely good at the moment.
I don’t agree with the direction the new shoe models are going in, but even there Nike has atoned itself by offering the VC4s in new colourways and the vapour 9.5…. Soon…. I hope.
i just wish the cages didn't have Rafa's logos all over them (or there were colors without Rafas logo)

I think there are some WTA players wearing the VC4s, too. Ana Kontaveit possibly?
Yeah , non Rafa branded tho and Jill Teich was another player who used the Cage too.
However they both have moved away as of the AO. I saw Kontaveit using Vapor Pro 1 I think (was all white so hard to tell) and I think Jill went with her Lacoste sponsorship.
Females did have the Cage 4 and wasn't Rafa branded until they made the GP Turbo Naomi exclusive for womens and Cage 4 Rafa for men last year or '21

I think both shoes were due to be replaced but are the signature shoes for their biggest athletes, so they've stayed around in a limited, low-investment fashion

Ive noticed from the oz open the green abyss colourway comes in the victory shorts and victory top plus the advantage slam top with zip plus i have seen wristbands and advantage hat
But is there a matching bandana head tie also?
Because normally rublev would wear one but he is wearing his own label so only left with rafa or taylor fritz to see what colourways there.

The head tie is from the 2019 US Open collection (it's in the colorway of "off noir with volt".)
The wristbands are from the 2022 winter collection and were featured on Nadal at the Year End Championships.
Yes. The shade of volt is identical to the ones from recent years.
I have the AW84 hat in Hot Lime (which is basically the same as volt) and the wristbands match the hat exactly.

No. I didn't buy much of anything from the 2019 collections.
The spring and fall collections were really good.
But I wanted the Agassi retros that I knew were coming in 2020.

probably because they get shipped so far (potentially making defects more likely) and the sales in Aus probably don't make it worthwhile (arguably, Australia also has better consumer protection laws and they can be returned to retailer and complaints can be made if need be)

But in the US you can literally wear the shoes out within six months and return them for a new pair no problem; try doing that at Tennis Only and they'll laugh in your face.

We certainly do not have better consumer protection laws; google dieselgate & the Babolat tungsten scandals and show me an example of a used Golf or a Pure Drive being returned for a full or even partial refund.
Does the volt wristbands definitely match the volt/black headband shapo and others wore in 2019 around us open times?
When i get the wristbands was gona skip getting the matching headband as the volt/black and volt/off noir are probably nearly identical. Does off noir look black to you?

Idk much about Babolat's tungsten issues and can't find anything on google, and the class action was paid out in Aus (smaller than in Europe but we are a smaller market too). Our laws are certainly not better than Europe but better than America... the tech company Valve won't sell any hardware for example here because of our consumer laws which force them to replace or refund faulty equipment, and I can very easily return most things for a replacement etc... in Aus and easily report them and get action taken if they won't.

Pretty slick, love when a current model can be printed/colors to look like a classic shoe (see the Cage special edition with the zipper sleeve). There was kinda an attempt at this with the AJ29, but not as literal.
Just wished they picked a more beloved shoe to work into the V11: an ATC2 or 3 or even some of the Agassi‘s from late 90s or early 00a would have been more fun (Pounce, Flair, LWP) Even some early Vapor Zooms (Speed, V6)
