If I remember correctly, Nike air Mac Attack shoes belong to the years 1985 - 1986; along with the shoes were checkerboard shirts; it is possible that those will be released too?....maybe us open 2023?

Yep. The Mac Attacks were around from 1985-87 (I think...)

While, I can't comment on the release of checkered McEnroe apparel (that information is included in my buyer's guide) I can say that there will be more than one model, of these shoes, released.

And one of them is possibly slated for a September 2023 release date.

I think sales will be good (also in the Vapor version), as well as the checkered shirts if they are confirmed.
Already in 2002 they re-proposed some historic McEnroe shirt (and worn by James Blake) which were a success!
Many fans are also hoping for a return of 90s Agassi shoes (and even clothing).
As we read in another forum dedicated to Andre Agassi (you already know :)), "his" 1990 collection with modern fabrics sold out in a short time!
The same goes for Nike Air Oscillate by Sampras, every time they have been revived.
The same goes for Adidas Edberg and Diadora DA Courier 1991

Wow! Thank you for sharing that information on the 2002 re-proposed retro. (y)

I didn't really start to follow tennis until around 2005. So I never knew about this collection from 2002.

But I seem to remember there being a checkered McEnroe inspired collection back in 2007 or '08.

Here's a new look at the Nike X Social Status Air Mac Attacks.

It looks like they won't be coming out as early as we thought.

The release date is now slated for this summer.

Have the 850666 Rafa Heritage86 hats always been 100% polyester and embroidered logos all around?

As for the material: yes, the body, lining, and bill are all 100% polyester since the very beginning which was SP17 (I have just checked it).

As for the logos: yes, the logos are almost always embroidered. Almost because, as far as I know, there were the following two exceptions where the front bull logo was heat transferred. The side swoosh and the bull logo at the back remain embroidered. They were both released as part of the HO17 collection:

Blue jay/(White) [850666-408]

Thunder blue/(White) [850666-471]

Realistically, is there any chance Nike will fix the Vapor 11 toe box prior to release a Vapor 12? And if anyone has insight to Nike it'd be good to know if they've acknowledged the issue and are thinking about how to address it.

Lol what issue?
There is zero protection above the toe area. It's designed like a sprinters shoe. You will put a hole through the shoe in just a couple of weeks (or less) of serious play. It's hilarious they put all this rubber protection on the side for sliding and didn't put anything on top of the toe area which you drag constantly when making shots on the run. Seriously, any player who slides will put a hole through the toe area well before the rubbish on the side of the Vapor 11 would ever have been needed.

Nike glues materials all over their shoes at random, possibly to satisfy the design urges of someone who should be on a no-fly list. The tennis shoes are especially heinous. I'll look deeper into this. I need to know who's responsible.

Totally agree - loved this shoe but had a hole in it after 5 hours of play.

Is there any chance that Nike makes anymore wide tennis shoes or will I forever be shut out from Nike shoes in the future? Vapor X wide and GP Turbos were the only things that worked and they're both gone now :(

GP turbos were not wide at all imo. Had about 8 pairs and couple more stashed away.

I’d agree GP’s we’re not wide. Good for you on the stash. I only had one pair at the end of the run and wish I would of had more. Switched back to vapor pros. Currently on my first pair of vapor pro 2. They have more cushion than the original vapor pro but nothing like the GP!

Is the fit just as narrow in the tip on the new Vapor Pro 2?
