Are they even trying?

Have people noticed the advantage shirt alcaraz is wearing in barca? Swoosh has a black outline around it makes it look a bit more premium

Whereas the stock pics there is no black outline around the white swoosh

Can anyone confirmed whether it does have the black outline?

it doesn't which is silly bc they had the outline swoosh on the AO tops so no reason they couldn't have put it on the retail version

Speaking of that Alcaraz shirt, is Nike going to release that colorway in the US? It's not at TW, not on the Nike website. I've only seen it on one other US website but only for pre-order.

So the basketball connection is dying? But the only way to get Nick can on a tennis court is to trick him into believing he’s actually on a basketball court?

So the ones with the outline is a PE then? Lol
I think they create them for the players a LONG time before retail is made. THey may have made changes to colors/details for retail. Similar to how different online retailers will have different pics based on when they got test inventory to take said photos. Just get the shirt if you like the pattern lmao outline or not

Color is called Alabaster. Nike Code 744

What's everyone's thoughts on the quality of the Nike clothes in 2023? Do the swooshes last during a bunch of washes, since they aren't the rubber ones or embroidery and more like vinyl. Also how are the Nike Advantage crews? Lots of different pattern crews, was wondering if the breathability, stretch and sizing were the same across seasons since 2022. If someone has crews from different groups I'd be interested to hear their experience.

The fabric and fit is the same for 22-23 so far. Just different neck shapes and design lines. I wash cold and hang dry on the slam & advantage tops (can’t speak to victory or whatever else is out there since those may be flat ink heat transfer). I have ones in the rotation from 2020 onward that get worn a lot and they still look new

Bingo. ALWAYS hang dry athletic clothing. The dryer is where swooshes get rubbed off and fabric snags begin. Plus dryer sheets interfere with their ability to absorb sweat later on the court

Just seems strange why they release 2 different versions one for retail and one for the players.

I guess similar to how the vapor cage 4's are not the shoe rafa actually wears.. surely just release his shoe and the cage 4 separately

True. Can you imagine if they did that with racquets?!?

What are good Nike shorts these days?

I have the 8" and 9" Flex Woven shorts and they are great. They are super lightweight but I don't feel like they are as flexible as the name implies.

My older tennis shorts from the mid to late 2000s definitely have more give.

The new Rafa jackets are pretty sharp. I got both of them from Nike. The material is a little thin and stretchy like the Australian Open jacket from last year, but not quite as flimsy. But, the collar is much more normal than that weird cutout. My only real complaint is the jacket bunches up a bit in the middle when you're sitting.

All the ‘22 slam and ‘23 advantage are 4 way stretch plus the pocket bags are bonded so the bag never flips out

The slam/advtg shorts from ‘20-‘21 were also good if you want a plainer looking style

Please note the size! Nike is all over the place with this and if you wear M in one season you might fit better in L the other. I find this around the quads and the waist, a bit tight

are you sure you're comparing the ones from the slam/advtg line to each other and not the victory line? those are different lines/fits

The Rafa ADV from last year Pre- summer runs bigger than this year Rafa ADV. The regular "players" advtg also had the same issue around the pockets that runs tight... Hopefully new shorts address this issue

Yeah they changed it in the last year standard fit is baggier

The rafa t shirts i noticed this about a year and a half ago

I like the advantage 9 inch shorts and the 9 inch victory though the advantage shorts you can fit like 7 balls in each pocket without them falling out but the victory about 3 or 4 max

Victory has no stretch

The waist is all over the place though because they used to run a little bit tight and people complained it worked well for me as i didnt need to tie the draw string around the waist bear in mind i bought like 10 total of the same colour 8 from nike and 2 from elsewhere to choose the best fit

Of the initial few i got they were all tight waist then suddenly ones i got few months later were looser

Same with the advantage shorts they all fit fine without needing the draw string but then i got a diff colour a black pair of a newer batch and now the waist is too big even when i draw string it tight

I think they changed it due to complaints

Also wash them with bicarbonate soda and not washing powder or liquid it stops the colours fading also white vinegar as a natural fabric softener

Also wash inside out and when it is sunny dont wear dark colours as the sun fades the colour super quick time

Also don't use liquid fabric softener with anything dri fit it clogs the pores of the fabric and it ends up stinking

Sorry this is probably in the wrong thread

But does anyone have this top?

And can tell me how it fits compared to the victory version of same colourway?

Likewise in comparison with other tops ie for the blade solid swoosh polo i had to go down a side cos it is baggier

So i dont know if i need a medium or a large

I have to get it elsewhere who are a nightmare with returns so i need to guestimate my exact size if anyone else has this top by chance many thanks

I stopped buying the jackets when they did away with full double zippers. That's the cure for the bunching

Maybe if it came in polyester, I would consider it.
Nike released a green abyss 7 inch advantage short but never did a 9 inch version and i am perplexed why?

Mineral teal got a 9 inch

That green abyss emsemble had everything except 9 inch advantage shorts
