Because hes got huge arms?It seems Nike likes putting Alcaraz in sleeveless whenever he players on hard court, why?
Maybe he requests it with the USO and AO being two of the hottest events of the year.It seems Nike likes putting Alcaraz in sleeveless whenever he players on hard court, why?
I really think it just suits him. The Nike sleeveless aren't like Adidas Zverev kits, they actually look good. Some players like Carlos and Rafa look better in non polos and sleeveless looks, and some players like Roger and Medvedev look better in polos and would not work with a sleeveless kitIt seems Nike likes putting Alcaraz in sleeveless whenever he players on hard court, why?
You are quite correct. My fashion tastes are a good 12 years out of date. At least. I'll be the first to admit that.I know that's subjective, but many people nowadays complaining the shorts are not short enough and you are a small bunch of people arguing the other way round. Probably because of performance issue, players generally prefer shorter shorts (7 inch instead of 9 inch). In another thread under Lacoste, people complaining that they are only releasing 9 inch but not shorter one. Take it or leave it, fashion is always about trend and it seems your tastes are not in line with the trend. As simple as that.
To be honest, it is subjective again. I personally also love Adidas French Open Collection this year. As other people in TT said, it has some element of what Safin wore around 20 years ago. I personally copped the yellow henley (the one worn by Thiem and Cerundolo). But when I wore it to the court, my play mates disliked it and found it very "dad-style". Hence, retroing, at least in terms of fashion, is always tricky. And if Nike and Adidas retroed too frequently, a bunch of people will also find it lame and boring and blame the brands for not "inspiring" enough. The truth is, they can't entertain every single audience. You are quite correct. My fashion tastes are a good 12 years out of date. At least. I'll be the first to admit that.
I just wish that Nike Tennis would release some stuff that works a bit more for the people who like the retro aesthetics.
The current fashion line is lame. At least from Nike. Adidas seems to be doing well, though.
I'm pretty impressed by what I've seen from them, recently.
US open collection shall come out the week before US open startsWhen does the entire fall range come out?
Personally, I would be OK with the term "dad-style."To be honest, it is subjective again. I personally also love Adidas French Open Collection this year. Get this **** out of here.Personally, I would be OK with the term "dad-style."
I'm not 17 anymore. Nor do I identify with Gen Alpha.
I see these kids walking down the street with the broccoli top hair cuts. Wearing cream colored tees, glued to their phones.
I won't pretend to understand all of that it.
But that's OK.
I'm glad that I'm old enough to remember music, back when it was actually music, Marvel before it went Woke and Nike before it became lame.
Kids growing up today...it's sad what they missed out on.

Ya honestly just have to size up at this point & in doing that, you’ll get proportionally longer sleeves for someone theoretically taller. The sleeves on my alacraz 22 USO, 23 IW, 23 W, and 24 FO shirts all have decent length sleeves, not egregious. If I wore more stock size, they’d probably be 1-2in too short
This much is true. Although a return of the OG vapor pro is another positive sign. Can’t give up hope, people are pounding them in social comments about the shoe paintjobs
Actually he can still do it, buy an XL or if still not enough, get an XXL. Unless you build like Isner or Reilly Opelka, the sleeves should be long enough to cover your elbow. He wants the sleeves down to the elbow. Not gonna happen on a performance shirt
The world is definitely changing at a really fast pace.Personally, I would be OK with the term "dad-style."

I preferred it when his bull logo was on the side of the sleeve and the swoosh at the front like these outfitsYead indeed. And thanks for the confirmation
Oh without a doubt, those years were fantastic. I'll be completely honest though, there were very few Nadal outfits I didn't like in those earlier years. Even if they consisted of colours I didn't like or would never wear, they still had a cohesive look about them. I can't say that for the last few years though, and as of now I wouldn't touch the Nadal line match wear.
I love outfits like these for instance (plenty of examples to be fair), where the AO one has the contrasting lime sweatbands/headband just matching the lime of the shoes. Or the other one that has the contrasting mint green sweatbands/headband matching the stripe on the shirt. So good. Doesn't feel like as much thought goes into a lot of Nike's current offerings.
I think it started being bad when both logos were on the front they were better when his logo was on thw side sleeveGenuinely much prefer this to anything Nadal wears these days, but then again I've really hated his line of clothing over the last year or so. His old outfits were on a different level to what he wears now.
I need my rafa bull logo off my shirts and jacket but not the nike swoosh can i do that? LolI feel Nike is doing the Tech right but is not looking at the fashion bits for comfort or bad placement of logos, almost as if they are going sole on science for all parts even if Nike swooshes now come off in first 10 washes like an early version 1 Featherlight Dri-Fit hat from 2013 and never on the looks since 2015 or so on all higher end Nike gear besides the final golf clothing where high tech is not a priority or some of the basic all sport Featherlight Dri-Fit hats/fully wrapping visors do not look bad becuse of really only a few ways of making said hats/visors of that specific material.
The problem is the XXL body is so f-ing wide like they keep changing the fits the 2017-18 slam tops were slim fit so i got an XL and they fit okish now im on to medium as the medium standard fit runs big i used to wear largeActually he can still do it, buy an XL or if still not enough, get an XXL. Unless you build like Isner or Reilly Opelka, the sleeves should be long enough to cover your elbow.
The upper looks like a hybrid between 9.5 (Laces) and vapor pro 1 (Toe drag and shape) with the mesh similar to the vapor 11 if the cushioning is in between the last vapors that could be a great shoe! Amazing find if thats the v12
Anyone seen the all white shoes on foot in the second photo? Look like new vapor pros to me
Good eye mate !

Why is it the same colourway as the vapor pro 2's half n half colourThe upper looks like a hybrid between 9.5 (Laces) and vapor pro 1 (Toe drag and shape) with the mesh similar to the vapor 11 if the cushioning is in between the last vapors that could be a great shoe! Amazing find if thats the v12
I see mostly white and a few really subtle details in Black that don't show a lot... the swoosh is more centered than the VP2 and other details that I mentionedWhy is it the same colourway as the vapor pro 2's half n half colour

I don't like that kit, but I will say this much...at least it has sleeves!

I've actually started to wear the Nike Legend Fitness t-shirts for tennis now. Only £21.99, better length to them as the advanced t-shirts that I usually wear, and I'm not seeing the need to spend an absolute fortune on those advanced ones, when I can buy 3 of these for the price of one of those.
a lot of the running tops are good as well and the nice ones have similar DRI FIT ADV fabric. the designs are usually more simple and clean fwiw
Holy cow, you were spending 5K+ on Nike gear a YEAR?One more slam and this awful year will be over.
This is the first year since 2004 I have not bought a single Nike item of clothing.
I got the black and red cages.
Last year I got the 9.5 reissue and a handful of t-shirts. Maybe black and white shorts.
Actually I lied, I got the yellow Oz open tee.
So a guy who regularly spent $5,000++ a year on Nike tennis down to under $200.

I've spent about £3k this year already lolHoly cow, you were spending 5K+ on Nike gear a YEAR?
What did your best year consist of Nike gear wise?
I don't understand the question.Holy cow, you were spending 5K+ on Nike gear a YEAR?
What did your best year consist of Nike gear wise?
Let me rephrase: For your most satisfactory year in regards to the Nike gear you bought, what did that list comprise of? $5K is super high and even at $180 per shoe, that's buying 27 pairs.I don't understand the question.
J
Same question! Is this 3K on just Nike Tennis?I've spent about £3k this year already lol
I do like that Nike still offers the Legend shirt in short sleeve, sleeveless, and long sleeve in seasonal colors like Denim Turquoise:
These arent the proper nike tennis shirts though
Not into some sports direct thing lol
Indeed. Is that a colour only in the US? I've seen on the US website that there's a bit more of a selection on there. They do a burgundy one that I want also!
Sorry, but I've only seen it on US sites. It's the same color that Badosa and other Nike WTA players have been wearing.
08&09 were the peak. I feel like they declined sharply after 2015.Let me rephrase: For your most satisfactory year in regards to the Nike gear you bought, what did that list comprise of? $5K is super high and even at $180 per shoe, that's buying 27 pairs.
I spend a good amount per year at Nike as well but it's spread out throughout different sports but $5K for just Nike tennis is wild!
