Imagine that you're 13 years old in 1989. You're watching the WTF and you see this match between Andre Agassi and Stefan Edberg.
Andre walks out to the court, debuting his new outfit. He takes off his warm up pants and the girls start screaming, like they're watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 1964.
Do you honestly believe that any teenager is going to be looking at that outfit, after hearing the girls screaming, and say to themselves "You know what, that sucks."
Hell no!
The girls validated the outfit. It's certifiably cool now.
You know who isn't forward thinking in 2024? Nike.Funny that you post a video where Agassi debuts the 2-in-1 shorts that I've been preaching about.
As to your question, yes there would be teenagers and guys your age saying "that sucks". Guys like you, who think "swishy" is a 2024 insult, and who just want to bring back the old
In 1989 you had to be a forward thinker to appreciate this kit. And you are not that
Don't break my heart like this.I will say this, from what I have seen so far, adidas > Nike for 2025.
Vapors are incredible. I am talking more about apparel.Don't break my heart like this.
I had high hopes for the Vapor 12.
I will say this, from what I have seen so far, adidas > Nike for 2025.
That's good with me.Vapors are incredible. I am talking more about apparel.
Non Slam clothing is very, very basic and boring. Uninspired. Bland.Would definitely like to hear more
Is there anything that you're able to say about retros for next year?Non Slam clothing is very, very basic and boring. Uninspired. Bland.
I have not seen any. I wouldn’t get your hopes up but theres always a possibility of a QS release. Is there anything that you're able to say about retros for next year?

He’s born in the 90’s so anything that’s hot in the late 80’s to early 90’s he isn’t aware. Just taking from nostalgia really.Funny that you post a video where Agassi debuts the 2-in-1 shorts that I've been preaching about.

I can agree with you on the shorts! He’s born in the 90’s so anything that’s hot in the late 80’s to early 90’s he isn’t aware. Just taking from nostalgia really.
But I’m also a 90’s born guy and no way in hell I would rock jorts that short even with spandex. I have the legs/build for it but couldn’t do it now days. It just does look right and not necessarily a feeling
As we have said (and seen), there should certainly be the Tart color of ATC II....Thanks man! I appreciate your honest take.
I get the feeling that Nike is scaling back on tennis. The quality of their products and the excitement behind the releases, just doesn't seem to be there anymore.![]()
I have to say that the 1989 Master Cup shirt worn by Chill in his video (it's definitely the 2020 one with the addition of the black buttonsI can agree with you on the shorts!
The denim with spandex shorts from the early 1990s are a bit too short for my liking.
Which is why I really liked what Nike did when they brought them back for the 2020 US Open. They weren't super short.
The Agassi shirts, from this time period, I love.
Apparel wise for Nike, which year is better? 2024 or 2025?Non Slam clothing is very, very basic and boring. Uninspired. Bland.
Vapor X Kyrie x Kyrgios 2019. The black colorway was originally planned for French Open 2019 but was never released. As we all know, he hates clay and he had no plan to play in FO 2019 or Clay again. That's may be the reason why it never hit the shelf.
Kyrgios shoes?
Received some of these shirts in the mail today, not a huge fan of the fit. They were soft, comfortable, and light, so it bodes well for the tanks if it's something you're interested in. However, the sleeves are flared at the bottom, which I did notice from watching Cincinnati. But if you don't have broad shoulders or big arms, the fit looks a little weird. It's definitely a functional design choice, but, I definitely prefer the slits on the sleeves of the RG and Wimbledon shirts to having the large flared sleeves on these.not sure how i feel about all the volt on volt im seeing, but really like what sinner and alcaraz wore in cincy. pure class
if you have anything bad to say about these fits, i question your style. this is what tennis apparel should look like. thread the needle between classic fit/piping/color blocking with bold modern color

'Abandon Nike' Calls Grow After Carlos Alcaraz's US Open 2024 Kit Goes Viral
Carlos Alcaraz may be one of tennis' brightest young stars, but his 2024 US Open kit from Nike isn't exactly winning over fans.thesportsrush.com
2022 - Nike Air Trainer 1, 2023 - Mac Attack and Air Courtposite (by Supreme), 2024 - ATC II... Another retro Agassi for 2025? If it's follow the logic...Hopefully!That's good with me.
Just as long as we get the ATC III next year.
Speaking of wristbands, where do everyone get their Nike double wide wristbands from? Seems Nike doesn’t drop many that match with sets…which is a disappointmentJust a reminder of how good the Nike stuff was at the 2010 US Open. I still have Nadal's day shirt and both sets of wristbands untouched. Back when the Nike booth was going strong.
About time they made custom ones.Sinner wearing custom zoom zero 1's it seems for us open, https://www.instagram.com/stories/atptour/3442005331386413565/
They actually look like "normal" zero zooms; probably, since they are out of production, they still produce some especially for him..Sinner wearing custom zoom zero 1's it seems for us open, https://www.instagram.com/stories/atptour/3442005331386413565/
It’s his regular Zoom Zero and when the OP said custom, he meant the colorway. Sinner is rocking the “hot lava” pack. Really cool to see and hopefully more different colorways soonThey actually look like "normal" zero zooms; probably, since they are out of production, they still produce some especially for him..

True.....Thanks DavidIt’s his regular Zoom Zero and when the OP said custom, he meant the colorway. Sinner is rocking the “hot lava” pack. Really cool to see and hopefully more different colorways soon

Would be cool if they sold the zoom zero instead of paintjobbjng it to sell GPC1s
Plus black pair also. It makes me curious though, you have access to the ZZ, why not choose the various colors they have from the past and mix in the outfits? That’s what Dimitrov have been doing with his ZV9 x LacosteCan’t believe they finally started giving the ZZ colorways. To this point he’s almost exclusively used white since it discod
Yup and I bought oneDid anyone else see these hats on the BAS?

because Dimitrov is literally using old pairs of shoes he collected over his years being sponsored and Sinner is getting new shoes made by Nike to promote their current lines so they want his Zoom Zero to have the same colors etc as the latest GP Challenge/Vapor etc...Plus black pair also. Wait, where did you buy it? Link?Yup and I bought one
The ZZ was the predecessor to the GPT which is better in every way, no?
BAS = Big Auction SiteWait, where did you buy it? Link?
Obviously but Sinner could’ve pulled out some ZZ from the past seasons to match more (maybe that’s an inch from me)because Dimitrov is literally using old pairs of shoes he collected over his years being sponsored and Sinner is getting new shoes made by Nike to promote their current lines so they want his Zoom Zero to have the same colors etc as the latest GP Challenge/Vapor etc...
I wouldn’t say that just because something proceeds another that it’s worth less. People pay crazy money for 1959 Les Pauls and 1963 Stratocasters. It’s not like being the latest equates to also being the greatest in any consumer good. Hell, most nba guys still use Kobe’s from 10+ years ago
Right, but the GPT was actually a better shoe and became a total cult classic. ZZs were around for a short time and I think they had lace-breaking issues, no?
