Nike 2024 General Thread

thats true but i think that copying fully the design is also a copyright issue? dont know

Copyright aside the complexity of a shoe is orders of magnitude beyond having a tailor make a shirt. If you wanted someone to make a one off shoe then you would be paying an astronomical sum and would need to commit to a certain production # in order to make financial sense

Wow how you know that many infos ahah

Does anyone have these t-shirts? @Rosstour Do you? I know you pick up a lot of the Nike shirts. Was just wondering what the length was like on them and if they're a little on the short side. I have a few older advantage shirts in size M but they feel too short to me now for whatever reason and I know some of Nike's sizing can be weird with the length. Thinking of getting them both in an L but am hoping they're not too loose around the neck, like Sinner at the Australian Open last year :D

I don't have any of these. No idea how they fit. I like things loose at the neck which is one reason I didn't get any

I bought the one sinner had at AO24 in size L. I always wear L in running, training and tennis gear from Nike but this one fit really bad, shorts sleeves and body and tight on shoulders. Would go up a size.. I think Federer apperal was the same kind of weird sizing

I have this in the green pattern colorway for the clay season 2024. I think they fit nicely. Not too long not too short. The collar is also just right. I also hate collar too tight at the neck. Hence, I just bought another blue one from Winter 2024. The one which GMP and Rune recently worn pre AO.

I'm thinking about picking up the light blue/green version of the one you got in L, a competing site has a few left. That winter collection sold like freaking hotcakes man

I'm 135lb soaking wet and I still am almost too big to wear a medium in tennis tops. Don't understand it

Can confirm, I'm an M and I tried the L a few times and it's got the saggy neck. If you got a wide neck it might be a non issue, but my dainty neck couldn't make it work! It's too bad because I really wanted to like these shirts, more than the length it's the shoulder+sleeve length that absolutely sucks on these.

I want a saggy neck lol

Stuff that's too small up there doesn't work for me. I need a L in the old Rafa challenger tops from 2015, I would go with L here too, seems like

Yes, weirdly enough, the Holiday season is the best in the entire year. Much better than those released in slams. The second best is the clay season before FO IMO.

It's strange nike has no social media presence for tennis at all. No community support - engagement - nothing! I was just at an Asics event and its no wonder they're the number 1 shoe. Development, research, investment into communities. Going to check out of Nike for now lol (sorry for the rant)

You are definitely new here and probably social media too. Nike had a Nike Court/Tennis social (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) for a decade+. They shut off every single one during 2017/2018 period. I even had my shoe featured in one of their post back in 2014 on Instagram back then too

Such a shame, cant even allocated a few thousand bucks to market tennis on social. Wish we got some degree of targeted marketing

It's almost like that was my point entirely?
Also not really necessary to try and be condescending re new to social media? My point is valid.
They have no CURRENT social presence or engagement. I didn't say they never did. lol.

Is it relevant to a brand that 10 years ago they had an instagram account or...?

I’ve been having problems finding the all-white Nike Vapor 2’s (HC) for a few months now. Some websites have them at higher price ranges but I used to be able to get them for ~80 eur (85 usd).

Did Nike discontinue them?

Ahh no worries, thanks anyway!

Cheers for the heads up. I don't really mind the short sleeves but it's the length that concerns me. I sort of have long legs and a short torso so if the t-shirt is short it just looks proportionally odd!

Is that the blue one with the different shades of blue to it? I thought about that one but don't quite fancy paying full price for it. Even the pink alternative (if it is the one I'm thinking) is sold for a cheaper price, but I'm not sure about pink, even if the shade is more muted than other pink offerings!

Damn that sucks. That's the thing when going from M to L across different brands as they can increase the size in different areas. Like some retain the fitting around the neck but the sleeves may be wider and the body length longer, whilst others may really expand the neck area as well as other parts too. I know everyone's body is different but thanks as you've probably saved me the disappointment. Looking at the tenniswarehouse site for alternatives though and you can really get a good indication of the fit, and you can see that some are generally just shorter in length. I compare to Adidas and their tops for instance and a lot of Nike's offerings are definitely more 'boxy' in shape but it can really depend on your own body. I look at Alcaraz for instance and the shirt proportions just look completely normal to me.

Actually to be honest, I may just buy a M and an L and determine for myself. This iteration of the advantage top may fit a little differently to the older ones I have so maybe the M will be OK.

yes, the one with different shares of blues.

Well, the way you put it made it seem like you never had social media or had it but didn’t see anything from Nike Tennis.

As of right now, they do but it’s more under the Nike banner instead of a separate. Sure it would probably be ideal to market it separately but there’s probably no one in that department to do so

They did the same thing with Nike Golf. I think they just market it under the same "brand" since it will get a bigger reach. And Nikes does a lot of performance max/product catalogue marketing - meaning they expose you to individual products that you're interested in rather than "general content". So I just think as e-commerce grows and becomes more sophisticated the need for specific instagrams etc. just kind of goes away. No need to have a people managing an instagram account; which can be a quite big task since you need completely different images than product images, players to do photo sessions etc. Different thing for like NikeRunning which is huge and Nike Football... I am suprised they still have a separate instagram page for swimming lol.

Hello. Does anyone know where to find this product at a discounted price (I just found at full price in a website)? Size L

At this point... I think you should get it at retail, after a full year and still don't see that collection anymore. Your safest bet is to get it at that price considering large is now regular medium

Now available on NDC Canada and Europe.

Did you ever post the playful pink top and skirt from indian wells last year 2024?

The one emma raducanu wore with the light photo blue visor

The mrs wants it but i cant locate what the nike product code was.

Also the only playful pink 675 colour code i can find is the top with the white swoosh not the black swoosh so maybe her outfit was a PE?

If you have the product code for the complete outfit i would appreciate it.

That’s so sad man, Nike marketing is A+ quality it could easily be king of tennis.
