Nike 2026 General Thread

Does anyone know if the Slam Shorts are based on the 6, 7 or 8 inch versions?
Some websites say the Slam Shorts are 6 inches but the problem is, when the models are wearing it, they look extremely long.
I'm not sure why they can't list the length clearly on NDC.

You all need to leave my guy @jmacdaununder2 alone.

He's well within his rights to complain about Nike in the Nike thread.
That's basically what the internet is for and a lone voice crying out is often how change happens.

We can go back and see how many of you complained [constantly] about the Vapor 11 or Pro 2 or the weird gladiator neck tops from a few years back or abundance of PE gear that is never released.

I personally continue to complain about the excessive TPU on the toebox of the V12 and the stupid claybreaker outsole.

Let him cook...

Then he and most importantly YOU as a supporting voice should create a new thread where everyone can complain about Nike and the chain supply issue and the conspiracy around (False) potential downgrade of the tennis line for everyone else in the near future (Not going to happen).
Everybody can share their sentiments around anything relating nike but once every two weeks!? I think he stand his point more than abundantly as possible and as I mentioned before in a more polite manner if Nike didn't care... then why should WE care? We want to see what's next and just that, BECAME REALLY HARD this recent years compared to 2010's.
Now that I see a new reply on this thread expecting a pic or detailed info thanks to @Babolast, sizing issues or something really relevant, there is a reply regarding: We still don't get the new nike collection in AU... Really? Come oooonn. This became close to the situation with the Agassi Line a few years back.
Sincerely I move to other brands since Nike is not my cup of tea anymore after Rafa retired and see a bunch of teens using the same CA outfit I just bought, that is just MY problem and nobody cares, there are other costumers that will buy and I will be happy to pull a nice nike kit and be ready to buy it as soon as it drops. This is the essence of this thread.
Edit: Hopefully people can start posting pics of your purchases, I miss the days when people shared their new additions and how the color pops up outside of the screen. Thanks

Thanks for the support!
Ironically I’d love to buy the Violet V12s for old times sake, despite the known issues with the 70s adjacent rubber cap/toe box, & even with the claybreaker outsole, but apparently all we’re getting down here is hardcourt soles.
Some store down here has actually had the violet hardcourts on sale for over a month & they still have full sizes; I guess when you can buy Ons in RP2, RP3 & Fire with hard or clay soles & next day free delivery you’d have to be a sentimentalist or a wannabe fashionista to continue with the Nike route but as always each to their own/OthersMMV.
(The red pill is indeed a bitter pill to swallow.)

The point was already made - but thanks for the reiteration. Tbbh your post does read something akin to a breakup recap with just a hint of sentimental reminiscence: Speaking of downgrades that exclusive Sinner gear ain’t foxy - as it says right there in the picture.
Think I’d pin my hopes on Carlos going forward, although as noted previously, Sinner’s grey shirt would look fine on mere mortals this time around if I was gonna dabble.
The Agassi issue was about style; ironically Carlos’ RG collection references Agassi as an inspiration - read the shoe blurb. My issue is about availability (of clay court shoes in particular).
Having said that, last time around there was a very humorous post bemoaning the need to look at middle aged Dad bods in Agassi crop tops - be prepared to brave the stares if you dare to wear the tiedye as a non world no.1.
Peace out! ✌️

Will be there next week, let's see if there are any left, by the time the Italian Open is at the semi-finals.
Makes sense that they want some fan gear for people to wear in the stands (honestly, I feel like this is something that tennis has failed to capitalise on outside of Rafa and Roger).

Also some RG Slam items are now up on NDC AU site, they are cheaper in AU than the European prices, I wonder why? Is it VAT?
Noticed that most import items are substantially cheaper in AU now compared to Europe. If only they actually imported more of the collections.

Also support @jmacdaununder2 and the other Australians on the forums making noise about lack of distribution.
It's no good for us being able to see pretty pics of upcoming gear, when a big portion of the site (and of tennis enthusiasts globally - we have a Grand Slam!) don't have access to buy them or if we do it's at crazy import prices. If we can't talk about it here, where do we talk about it? If the opposite was true (Asia/Pacific got items that the US/Europe didn't), we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I guess the cheaper Australian pricing is a reflection of what the market will bear; presumably the relative profit margin - or lack of it - is a big part of why Nike abruptly pulled the pin on more comprehensive tennis retail down here, TO notwithstanding.

whats wrong with claybreaker? i just got some gp1.5 clay just for padel for now, so far fine

are the grooves too big? so it doesnt really grip on the clay?

It doesn't grip as well.
If you have a very fluid, slidey clay game, it's great. As you may have guessed, I do not, so I like the assurance of a little more grip.
Plus the Nike herringbone wasn't super deep, so you got grip but a good ability to slide as well.

Just bought 3 women’s GP1.5s

Nike converts the sizing right on the product pages so I’m hoping the width won’t be an issue

These prices are ridiculous. Personally, I don't like the sleeveless hoodie and its worth $120
You aren’t wrong, especially for no damn sleeves gotta lower the price a bit. I still love Nike I come here often to see what they are coming out with, but I rarely buy any of it full price I wait for sales.

Any upcoming darker colours for vapor 12?

Honestly this is my only frustration regarding them. So many white and *insert random colour* as well as bright-coloured variations, but there have only been two dark men's ones to pick from. The original black ones and the navy/light blue ones. The Alcaraz ones from the FO last year would have been awesome to be able to buy.

As far as light ones go, I do really like those new dusty pink looking ones though.

I loved maroon ones and yellow ones of Carlos but both were PE

Yeah the maroon ones were so nice - definitely would have bought them. I never would have bought the yellow/orange ones but still thought they looked awesome. They were great with the outfit he wore.

Will Alcaraz and Sinner have their own line? I mean line like Federer or Rafa. Totaly different shirt template design, that no one else using. So far sinner and alcaraz just has different colors than others.

The French Open world’s premier clay court tournament Violet Vapor 12s are available all over Melbourne!!
In hardcourt only…still full size range after a month…
Nearly AU$350 to get the clay courts from TWE
‘I’ll always have a place in my heart for you dearest Nike, but since I met ON I’ve realised what a relationship should be - why do you make it soo hard to love you?’
Cue ‘The Breakup Song’.
(If anyone in a clay available area (Europe) wants to complain about my posts again, feel free to PM me re shipping me a pair.)
