Nike Air Max Breathe Cage Shoe Sizings...

Hi, I was wondering how the Breathe Cage shoe sizings compare with the Breathe Free II's. I have a pair of the Breathe Free II's but I have outgrown them. I can still fit into them, but they are not as comfortable as they had once been. I used to wear a size 9 of the Breathe Free II's but I'm afraid there aren't any stores near me that will allow me to try any new pairs of tennis shoes on.

Thank you very much for your time.

I feel they fit true to size. I wear 9.5 in most other Nike shoes... these fit like 9.5s. The BFIIs have a roomier toe box, which may seem lengthier. But then again, I had 9.5s in the BFIIs and the Cages.

I used to own the BF2 and BF3 before in size 10. I just got the Breathe Cage also in 10 and it fits exactly.

So, just go for the same size as your bf2.

I tried these recently at a store and they fit according to size. It felt very comfy, but the heel seemed like it would not hold well on the court and allwo my heel to move and slip too much. Anybody out there have similar heel issues with the Breathe Cage? Thanks.

Hi jonolau,

How do you like the Cages compared to the II's? I love the II's and have been thinking about trying the Cages.

Thanks!

Cages slightly better than Breathe Free 2

Hi jonolau,

Thanks!

I’m not Jonolau, but I've worn both Breathe Free 2 and Breathe Cages. I actually prefer the Cages.

Cages have slightly more width and cushioning in the forefoot, and are also a bit more stable due to the tread “lip” – as well as the appearance of more cushioning in the heel. Now let's hope that Nike releases some great color schemes to go with the great aesthetic design of the Cages.

To the OP – I wear the same size in both BF2 and Cages.

Thanks Bad Dog. I'll have to try a pair! The BF2 have been my favorite to date, but a little more cushion in the forefoot sounds great.

I do agree with Bad Dog that there is a little more space in the toe box.

However, this is also something that I'm not too keen about as I've braod feet and this makes the front even roomier when it stretches (too roomy for my comfort).

I've just got a pair of the new Vapor IVs and I've found the fit slightly better than the Cage.

hey babolast, that should be just the same size as the cages. i tried both on at this nike outlet and they both work at the same size. i ended up buying the vapor VI's and cages yesterday lol. and you gotta love outlet prices, the vapors were $60 and the cages were $50
