Nike Air Max Breathe Free 2 outsole warrenty

hi, i was wondering if my breathe free 2's are warrenty acceptable. i did not have a warrenty card in the box, but the store i bought it from faxed it to me. i have a question first. in two of the bullets explaining the warrenty, it says:

-To quality for this 6-month rubber outsole durability guarantee, the outsole must be completely worn through, exposing the upper of the shoe, within 6 months of purchase. This wear must be the result of playing tennis.
-Exposure of different colors of rubber or the midsole does not qualify for the guarentee.

does this mean i have to wear the shoes down through so much that i can see my toes? right now, i have the dark red/maroon and silver ones. the original rubber outsole colors are maroon and black, but i have worn through the rubber of the outsole so that i can see a grey, kind of soft material which i presume is the midsole. do you think my shoes qualify for the warrenty?according to those bullets though, does that mean i have to wear through the midsole also? btw, im also asking this in the TW Questions board.

any response from those who have received a new pair from the warrenty, PLEASE HELP ME!!! the warrenty expires on the 20th!

This is the state of mine after 4 months all they do is live in my tennis bag come out and get used only when playing tennis with them on an indoor court. Then back in my bag after play. With in the next 2 times of play ill be through to my big toe in the corner. I live in the UK so I don’t think I am covered by this warranty.

I don’t find this very acceptable by Nike when they can make an older version of a hardcourt trainer which I cant remember what it was called I think Air Resistance but it was indestructible my friends sole lasted 10 years.

Another thing in the UK these things cost equivalent to around 150 dollars.

he probly means, did you throw yours out?

anyways, mine look like that but are more clear to see because the grey stands out from the red and black. are those acceptable for the warrenty?

yup

mine was worn through just a little bit on one shoe so that you could see the cusioning on the inside.

remember it is an outsole warranty. i got mine back after about 3 weeks. not a bad job at all.

Prostaffer or anyone that might be able to help, I actually put a hole through the bottom of the shoe near the toes at the front bottom of the shoe. The hole isn't a huge hole, but a small hole nonetheless. Now does any hole through the outsole matter or does it have to be a rather sizable hole. It's maybe hole about the size of a dime or a nickel. And the area around the hole is about to go very soon. It's very fine, thin outsoole at this point. I'm just wondering what the credentials are for getting your warrantee covered. If anyone out there has sent theirs back, please let me know what the condition was when you received your warantee. I'm just trying to figure out if I need to use them a little more or whether I can send them back now. Thanks much, Later

nope

the hole on mine was maybe the size of a nickel. smaller perhaps. you could see the cushioning through the little hole. i didn't have the original box. i just called, got my claim number, put it on the box and the inside along with my receipt and sent em out. make sure you call first. it will save you some headaches.

Also make sure you put the claim # on the outside of the box! If it isn't on the box they will basically send it back to you or they will destroy the box. Has anybody gotten a pair replaced that they were not sure if the outsole was worn enough to qualify? I have a pair that are pretty ripped on the soles. You can see a spongy material that is under the actual rubber. I figure if I wear them too much more I will eat through this pretty quickly.

yes

the spongy material is/should be the cushioning. and yes do put your claim number on the OUTSIDE OF THE BOX.

i didn't want to worry you but my story is this... i sent them in the first time. claim no. on the box, on the receipt, on a note in the shoes. then they send me back a pair of nike air max franchise. a $60 basketball shoe. i called them up and tehy sent it back. next thing i know i get a call from DHL in oregon and they say nike won't accept them. after 15 phone calls i realize it's due to the fact that i didn't have the claim number on the outside. thanks to DHL i was able to solve the problem and they sent me back a new pair.

but i hope it doesn't happen to you. good luck! i will give nike credit, in all the phone calls i made they were all helpful and very professional.

i wish i had known about this.

about which? my nightmarish experience? or the claim no. on the box? i'm sure my problem is like a one in a million problem considering the amount of people nike deals with each day.
