Nike Air Zoom Zero (summer 18 release)

I just bought a pair! I have the black and white version though. I’ll give my own play test review after I play today.

So after playing 3 sets in the Zoom Zeros. I have to tell ya they’re great shoes. I forgot that I had them on. There was no pain or discomfort while playing. I wear a size 13 in Nikes. I like to wear my Nike Elite socks when I play. They’re a little bit thicker than normal socks, so I ordered a size 14 shoe. First time I’ve ever worn this size shoe before. Initially when I put them on I thought I made a mistake going to a larger size, but for me it was nice to have that little bit of wiggle room in the shoe. Once your foot is inside the shoe it is like the reviews say, it’s like a glove. I am curious to see how durable they will be over the next few months.

Is it me or does this shoe run at least half a size longer?

The jury is split on that it seems. Some go half size down and some do not from what I have read. I wear two pairs of socks so I stayed at the same size, but tried a half size smaller and could play in them too.

I just tried mine on and I think they run half a size long, but are also a little on the narrow side so the lockdown is still quite good.
Yes, I agree it runs 1/2 longer. But then if I buy the normal size then it feels like it will be way too narrow for my foot. and I am afraid it may not fit. I might have to buy 1/2 size bigger due to narrow tight fit, may not have a choice

I think this shoe by far has the best cushioning compared to Asic court FF shoe and also Yonex powercushion Eclipsion 2. Also comparing to all the other Nike shoes, this one has the best cushioning. It is pillow soft and yet it bounces right back.

I have to try it out on the tennis court and see if it also has great responsiveness and powerful energy feedback off the court ........ Jury is out on that.

You manage to get some? They run a little big..
I’ll know when. They turn up in a day or two. I flirt between UK 10 and 11 sizing

11 in adidas, 10 in Nike ultrafly, KD9,under armour curry 2 low (great bball shoe for tennis), 10.5 in Vapor 9.5 so should be good to go with the 10.5 I bought on the auction site.

Did you snag both pairs?

I wear 10 in Vapor 9.5, 10.5 in vapor X and 11 in Adidas, so we're in the same boat

You might try a shoe horn. Makes getting them on much easier. I first tried the shoe horn for the Asic FF shoe and now the Zoom Zero. Love the shoes. I also have a pair of Kevin Durant KD11 which go on easier with a shoe horn.
Can you compare these to the FFs? Thanks...

If Nike changed the upper midfoot material to something stretchy and breathable like that of the Ultrafly sock, this shoe would be a winner. It takes impact like a charm and so much easier on the knee due to the air zoom unit in the sole.

If they did that, I would think it would lose its excellent stability and become the useless shoe that the Ultrafly is (or was).

I see that TW already has fall/winter colors for Vapor X and Zoom Cage 3, but nothing for Zoom Zero. Is this another case of trial and error (i.e. Zoom Ultrafly) where it's going obsolete? I hope not cuz I really like these shoes. Nike just needs to tweak them a bit in the midfoot area and it would be good to go.

Yes. That said the Zoom Zero is now on sale on the Nike site and I assume new colors are coming soon.

TW has it up to a size 15.0 in men's which is a women's 16.5? Also, I checked the Nike US site and it's available up to size 15 in men's there as well.

Could not find it on the Nike USA at 3 PM today and customer support seemed to think that it was not going to be available on their site. May have just got some bad information.

That's odd. It sounds like they must have pulled it from the men's side. Not sure why as I was able to find it yesterday. Perhaps it was a publishing error and it is only intended for women (or it will only be available through retail channels) but it's still showing as available for men on the TW site.

The Nike site sucks. They dont even have the black ones that every retailer has. All they carry are the lame brown ones. Common for them to not have their full line up unfortunately.

They sold out of the black ones along time ago. I was told they were set to launch some new colorways officially on October 1. We will see if that happens.

Just recently purchase the black and white can’t wait to try it on, currently using the Adidas Boost Barri and I hope it’s much lighter...

Compared to Adidas Boost Barricade you will find the shoe feels much lighter and more comfortable while being nearly as stable. I just made the switch.

Agree, it did feel very light and extremely cushiony right out of the box. but with my orthotic inserts, not sure if it will still feel like light shoes ?

I notice after a month or so the sole on my right shoe is starting to turn blue (presumably the Zoom Air cushioning coming through) at the front right tip. I know durability was an issue with TW playtesters but 1 month seems pretty short. I may be needing to buy another pair of shoes in another month or so.

I loved the comfort and stability of the AZZ but was hoping for greater durability. Should I be looking at Barricade Boosts or Court FFs? I have sore knees (patellar tendon) and shoes are pretty important for me to keep playing without discomfort.

shoes were meant to be replaced once a month. Pros replace their shoes every 3 days.

Hey Luke, thanks for posting these here and over on NT. Do you have any idea when these colors are hitting Nike's site? I am REALLY feeling those blue/orange ones!!

No troubles, they are being advertised on a big website so I'm expecting any day!
I knew photo is suggesting the blue is the womens version but hopefully they come in larger sizes
