Nike Breathe II sizing question

hey - just got a pair of Breathe free II's and I mail ordered them in an 11 since every Nike tennis shoe I've ever had (Court motion intl, Breathe free, etc.) I've worn an 11 in because Nike runs about 1/2 size small. In Adidas Baricades I wear a 10.5.

So anyway, I get the 11 Breathe II's and they're 1/2 size big. Are the Vapors and the new SHOX that way too?

I do have to say, after wearing Barricades for the last 1.5 years the Breathe II's are freakin' unreal. If the soles last at all I'm a happy camper. VERY comfortable right out of the box, feel like slippers not shoes, good court feel and traction. No complaints other than them being a bit big.

The vapors run true to size, so to speak. I, too, wear the the Breathe Free IIs in a 10.5 but need the 11 in the Vapors. I hear/read that the Shox have small toe box so probably would order an 11 in that model if I were me!

As you mentioned, Nike shoes generally run about 1/2 size small, but occasionally, I have found them to fit true to size. I have some friends at Nike, and they told me that the variation is due to which factory the shoe was manufactured in... but I couldn't tell you which factory produces which shoe, or how they size them.

I've had a pair of the Breathe IIs for about a month now. I normally wear 9.5, but bought a 10, and they fit great. Sounds like you got an odd ball pair... maybe a mislabel?

As far as performance, the Breathe II is the most comfortable tennis shoe I have ever worn. However, my outsoles are showing significant wear after about 30 hours of hard court tennis. I expect that I will be turning them in for warranty replacement in less than 3 months, but their great while they last!
