Nike Cage I issues

I bought a new pair of cages last week and I'm wondering if anyone else had these problems while breaking them in:

Day 1:
I came to these shoes from the BIV, so the weight was obviously a breath of fresh air. And it literally felt like a pillow in comparison, not in terms of the cushioning, but the inner build of the shoe.

Right when I got onto the court, I noticed heel slippage. This continued for the remainder of my hitting session; got a little worse towards the end.

Day 2:
The heel was still a little loose, but better overall. But, the problem seemed to transfer forward in my foot, and I was actually experiencing slippage on the balls of my feet. The looseness in the heel made my foot pivot slightly inside the shoe, which is almost a complement to the traction of the shoe.

Day 3:
the heel was a little slippy still, but again better than the last time out. Now I'm having problems with the width of the forefoot. It is very awkward getting used to the zoom air wedge, especially since I've never played in a nike shoe before. And, it doesn't help that I have odd-shaped toes, so my little toe gets caught on the side and there's a ton of pressure built up on it when I change direction. This makes my foot go numb. Not fun while playing.

But overall I have been pleased with the shoe, it's just take a little longer than it did with my barricades. And if you need to know, I have a medium size foot, just a hair wider than a normal D, but not too close to a 2E. I wore a 13 in the barricades and I found the 13 I got in the cage to fit slightly smaller than the barricades; it was probably just my foot growing though.

So, anyone else experience similar problems? Did they go away?

The heel slippage will lessen a bit, and I'm sure that they'll feel a little better with time, but you feel like you could break in the BIV's more quickly than the Cages? I remember it taking like a week to break in the Barricades, while it generally only takes a few days at most to wear in the Cages.

It was odd, perhaps my feet have a complementing shape for the barricades. I felt that they had almost zero break in time.
