Nike Court Air Zoom Vapor Pro 2021

I played with these for the first time yesterday. they were awesome.. they feel like feather and very stable.. toe box is a little tight though..maybe I shouldn't have half-sized down.... I may get my next ones true to my size. I don't think the length of the shoe translates into heel looseness. I think it's just little over-extended in the front and maybe they did it for a reason so my big toe does not get so tight in there...

Played with them for the first time today. Got same size as in Vapor X. Unlike X (which are very tight when first wearing), these were comfortable. I did feel heel slippage so wasn’t sure they would work, but after playing 2 hours the heel area stabilized and the slippage was mostly gone. I did use outer top loop when I tied my shoes. I’m not really sure how they got tighter though...X has always been tight at first but settled in to a comfortable fit. The Pros were a little loose but somehow tightened up after play. I’ll see how they feel after more play but really like them right now. I also use X Knit in half size up. The Pros feel similar...maybe a tad looser at heel. As for durability, I think the lightness and breathability will likely lead to poor performance in that area, but I really don’t care as I’m not super tough on shoes and comfort and performance mean more that longevity to me.

Lime glow will be for FO. So hopefully they are released prior to the Slam.
Probably in the mid-May release...it would make sense. Fingers crossed for that or earlier. I wish we would've seen the Obsidian/Copa(or whatever shade of light blue that was) that we saw last week on the mens players.

Played my 3rd match in them tonight. I was a big VP 9.5 fan, must say...these are now my favorites. Obviously, everyone’s feet are different. I use an insert. They fit me perfectly. So light. Stable, like they are glued to my feet. No idea how the durability will be, I’ll use my heavy Vapor Cage 4’s for practice.

I bought a pair in the photon dust/chlorine blue. Wore them for a practice match, they feel very light, low to the ground and fast. Not quite as cushioned as I remembered in the store but not bad at all for a speedy shoe. The uppers did loosen up a bit after 15-20 mins so I had to re-tie them tighter. Will use them for matches/tournaments and my GR8's for practice.

this shoe continues to GOAT for me... super light.. very stable... comfortable and I also noticed that there have been no part of my body particularly more shock observing compared to GP turbos that I have been wearing for cushioning... these shoes are super GOAT. I also would probably stay with true size b/c that room in toe box does not translate into loose shoe at all.. ankle and heel is in tact it's just more room in toe box so it's good.

WTF did somebody delete all the pics of the darker gray/blue colorway? I remember it being in the original post with the dark greens and been trying to look them up. NOT talking about the photon blue/grey that launched.

Looks like the Royal Blue comes in clay and HC soles in Europe.

This color?
Almost but no. The clay version pictured above is slightly different but that's basically similar colors. This thread has been scrubbed of the hard court version for some reason maybe Nike didn't want future colors posted yet the dark green is still here...

I must have missed it.

Decided yesterday to pull the trigger on a pair of the gray/chlorine blue. Not my fav color. But if they’re a hit, a second pair of that green/blue/lime color seems inevitable.

Seeing players use them in the last couple of ATP tournaments on the clay swing, looks like the clay is sticking to the upper much more than what I've seen and experienced on the X. They all look rather dirty and well-used. Especially on that area just above the Nike swoosh. Probably because of the breathability making the outside moist and the clay sticks to it? Anyone tried the clay version and can comment on that?

White or light colored shoes on clay were never a good idea.

I got my Turbos today, lovely soft feel but so nice to get back to these, such a good shoe!!
yes this shoe is really holy grail for me... so light... so maneuverable.. but yet so stable balance... and comfortable..

Having said that, I have no idea why it has like 3 to 4 colorways while other shoes get like 15... I guess eventually they will start coming up with some more colors. Not that I mind the current colors but I am curious what else they can do with it...

Also.. I don't quite understand why Nike will let you customize plenty of basketball and football shoes but they won't let us tennis suckers/holics customize tennis shoes....

Am I in a different world or what? I had v pro for a month now but only wear them in a short time each time. I remember I can’t run on the first day. My feet can’t trust the shoes. Even after few hours in gym to break in, the mid sole is still rock hard. The bottom of shoe don’t bend when standing at toe and it’s like steel flat at bottom of foot.
‘the feeling is complete different from a brand new vapor x side by side.I don’t feel any bit of cushioning at all.

This concerns me. I really like the Vapor X. The Pro looks to me like they wanted to cut costs by making the upper a simpler construction.

Remember what Michelle at TW said to prestige? It’s a different shoes and not a vapor 9.5 alike. I didn’t know what she really mean exactly besides got an idea that the midsole is different. This time, TW failed to point this out and promote similarity shared with vapor x like zoom unit. But I really question myself simply because no one had mentioned the mid sole and cushioning issue. Did I get a faulty unit? There are a lot in perfection here and there but I still want to see if I can get by. But the problems were too great and I decided to move alone with solution speed. That is also light weight, responsive, and comfortable.

@John,

Did you get the React Vapor NXT or the Vapor Pro? Because what you are saying really does not sound like the Vapor Pro but more like the NXT. I'm guessing you have already seen this, but the midsole and outsole are the same as the Vapor X,

Maybe you do have a faulty pair as it should not feel drastically different vs the Vapor X. You also see MANY, many pros who used to wear the X and are now in the Pro. No one on our playtest team has had issues with cushioning -- toe jam and some rubbing on wider feet have been the biggest issues that have come up during our playtest.

Well, my first pair came today. Holy smokes. Light, glove like fit. Still, not so tight that I feel like anything is being squeezed. If you're looking for plush cushioning, you're probably barking up the wrong tree - look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a fast, no-nonsense match day shoe, this one is as good as anything I've put on my foot in years.

For the benefit of others, I decided to order my normal size - a 10. I do see perhaps a smidge of extra room length wise. Not so much that I need an extra pair of socks, nor am I worried about toe jamming. If I went the other way and sized down a half size, I worry my toes would have been too close to the edge. This is in contrast to the Cage 4, where for me, sizing down a half size was the right call.

Dear Michelle:
It’s the vapor pro! There is only one thing I haven’t test it out and that is side by side comparison of the location of the stabilizer bar under foot. We all know the vapor pro run a bit longer than vapor x and we all assume it’s just the nose become sharper. I am not sure if the plastic stabilizer is too up front on my feet if I wear same size as vapor x.

back to the midsole, it does feel different by squeezing it in my hands. quess I live in Mars.

With all respect,

j

dear Michelle:

I just wear them out to watch neighbors playin. it may be caused by multiple fitting issue but I just can’t feel it right. I may feel the bridge too much for unknown reason.
‘it’s not I never had fitting issue. Adidas is known to be very narrow. For some I simply can’t put my feet in. For some, I may feel super tight. But I never had problem to step on ground once snug in. This time, the vapor is not super tight. I tried to pull the insole out to see the fitting. But it’s glued in.....since when you had saw a shoe with glue in insole?

It’s bad luck and failed try. But I am ok and save a lot medical bill cost if I just let this go.

how long does this Air zoom cushioning last before it goes dead ?
If you mean my case, the cushioning never exists on day one and it’s not just the air zoom unit. Maybe it’s a complexity of mis-fitting issue. I might just felt the bridge only. Another word, the rock hard bottom I felt maybe the bridge and I never felt any midsole or any softness at all. It’s pain and uncomfortable for each every step.
but it’s not coming from tightness or other fitting issues. It’s the stepping. I also felt minor pain and uncomfortable on heel.

So you don't use these shoes ? even on match day ?

Dear Michelle:

Just want to be honest on this subject. I just realize the feeling of the shoes do change daily and it matters if I had exercises before put it on or not. When I post my first message that you had responded, I had like 1.5 hrs work out at gym. When I wear v pro few hours later, it felt ultra hard. I was wearing ASICS nimbus 23 at work out and that is a super cushioning runner. So I guess the comparison is drastic. I was true about I can’t move on tennis court on the first day of putting it on. The feeling is hard and I completely can’t move on court. I think the best describe is mis fitting than manufacture quality. For my case, being able to put feet into shoes without pain does not mean it fits. The best description is close to wear a pair of dress shoes on court. I had worn vapor x for extended time and it’s not like the vapor pro.

This is the best tennis shoe i have ever owned and probably ever created.
Probably more people would vote over for vapor 9.5! Gel resolution 7, solution speed ff2, or even vapor x would be way better than a stripped down cheap shoe like nxt and pro.
