~Nike Court Ballistec 2.3 REVIEW~

[d]ragon, I recently switched from the Propulse 2's to the Nike Court Ballistics because I needed more cushion. Got it, but lost maneuverability. The Propulse's are lighter and lower to the ground, but made my feet ache.

The CBs definitely have more cushion. I don't really find too much of a problem with cushioning though with the Propulse 2's. At first I definitely noticed it but now, I think it's got ok cushioining

Just got some 2.3s two days ago. Ive played in them for two days and my plantar fasciitis has flared up, and my knee is beginning to bother me again....

Hopefully its just because i havent broken them in yet.

NO. It's because the outsole is so bloody stiff and you've become numb to knee pain.

The first week or so playing with the 2.3's I didn't like them because they felt super stiff. I was starting to think that the shoes were over-hyped just because they are expensive and Rafa wears them.

However, now they are broken in and feel much much better. They just might be the best shoes I've ever worn.

i wear barricade 8.5 what size should i get?

8.5

I went from barricade 4 size 10, to barricade 5 size 10, to CC genius size 10, to breathe cage size 10, to cb 2.3 size 10 all without any problems.

The CC genius felt the snuggest, the barricade 5 felt the roomiest, and the cb 2.3 feels somewhere in between

Great review by [d]ragon.

I picked up the bright blue pair of CB 2.3's before districts last week.

I was wearing the Cage II's before and a day before I was going to leave for districts, I noticed the outsole was seperating near the left side of my left foot - very unsually as I've have about 4 pairs of the Cage II's and never had this problem. I wear a size 13 and have flat feet (as in nearly no arch) so I was crossing my fingers that I could find a pair that fit right.

I played with them right out of the box and loved them. Have to be my favorite shoe so far.

I agree the toe box could be a little bigger but I haven't had any real problems. I love the cushioning and I don't find the outsoles to be stiff at all. IMHO, they are lighter and have a lower profile than the Cage II's so that's a bonus for me.

-BTW- Your results may vary. I don't bash by brand, but fit of a shoe is a very personal thing. I can see what fits one person could very well not impress others.

FWIW -I was very seriously thinking of getting the new barricades (they look sweet - IMHO) but the barricades' arches seem to be too high for my super-flat feet. Also my choices tend to be limted since it's harder to find some of the other shoes in a size 13 to actually try on. Basically, once I find something that fits well, I stick to it.

I have the ones in the original picture, but with the clay court specific pattern.
I've used exclusively Adidas tennis shoes until now (various Barricades and Feathers).
These shoes are very very good as well. Played them in a match right out of the box, very comfortable, good stability and traction, not too light not too heavy ... just right fit for me (size 10, same size I wear for Adidas shoes).
Not much wrong with them. We will see how the durability goes, but other than that concern...I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I usually wear size 10.5, but with the toe box being too small for most people would you recommend getting half a size bigger? size 11?

I just got a pair of the blue version of these this weekend size 11 because the 10.5 was too snug for me. But I love it. It's really comfortable and breaths real well. The only thing I don't like about them is that my feet are a little bit too wide for them but other than that they're excellent
