Nike Court Zoom NXT

I was surprised to find the NXTs at DSG the other day. They didn't have my size so I had to try on a half size larger. The shoe definitely felt too long for me. It also felt painfully snug in the midfoot and forefoot areas even after adjusting the laces. Without playing in them or breaking them in, the shoe in stock form definitely felt stiff to me. I didn't feel much response walking, semi jogging, and jumping around the store. My flat, wide feet definitely did not enjoy them. I felt a little soreness and was relieved to get back into my custom orthotics in my Torneos.

I really like these shoes! I’ve finally found a pair of shoes that fit to my liking. Cushion, looks and durability on the outsoles.
only issues I’ve had are on 2 separate pairs the eyelet has torn or ripped. I don’t really tie my shoes that tight. So that stinks.
and on another pair the embroidered swoosh is unraveling. Anyone else have these issues?

I cinch my shoes fairly snug and wondered if the eyelets would break on me. So far, no issues. Did you make a claim with Nike to get a replacement pair?

The first pair that broke I purchased through **************. It’s been a month and a half now waiting to get a replacement pair. Needless to say I’m not impressed with the customer service there:(
and because of that issue for my second pair. I just did some alterations with a new eyelet. My repair isn’t noticeable unless you are really studying the shoe.
I just didn’t want to go through another drawn out customer service issue. With all the headaches of the issues, again I can’t stress how comfortable these shoes are on my feet:)

Come in clay version also:

Do we know the color on these? Trying to determine if purple or blue.
Nike seems to shy away from a true purple but this is pretty close. Very Clemson University.
I hope I can point to my eyesight and say they are bluish because I don’t wear purple. Kind of reminds me of the ultramarine color from the challenge court retro a few years ago. Blue with a tinge or purple.

Looks like it's classified as a blue (color code 400). Purple would be in the 500s range.

Well after wearing my first pair of NXT for 4 months I bought a replacement pair and took them out for the first time last night. While taking them off, I had the commonly referenced lace loop breakage. So the first pair worked out well but worried about these as a long term option because lace loop breakage seems to be a fairly common problem.

Nike UK has 50% sale on the shoe.

Thanks, have just ordered a pair, hopefully these will fit well; did not have any luck with the Cage 3/4s, or GP Turo, the NXTs fit great except for how they flexed which I didn't want to risk as just needing break-in.

After pondering some, I decided to order a pair too, since it's such a great deal. And this is with a pair of unworn GP Turbo in my closet, bought when Nike UK had them on sale last year. Am trying to wear out my current Ubersonic 3 so I can start wearing one of these new shoes haha.

To be honest these Zoom NXT look like not very high quality shows but for me they feel extremely comfrotable. Also the colourways could be much much better but the white with red and teal one is a great one.

that's it? people here seem to like it lots though
Yes, I mentioned I like them too and they are super comfortable. Just saying they look not so great when you come across them in tennis shops, but when you put them on your feet it is a totally opposite experience. I saw them live and never wanted them, bought only because of 50% sale to give them a chance and surprised myself a lot.

size 12?

you guys got my last size 12s? :(

Ha, god no :-D, 6.5 over here :p

I've managed 2 low intensity sessions with them so far, fit is much better than my previous Nike experiences and any slight concerns about it some pressure in the forefoot was gone the moment they started breaking in (to the point where I originally had to wear my thinner pair of socks with them, but now broken in the thicker pair are fine now).

I did have to put my Superfeet Orange in them though because without, it didn't feel especially supportive (i mean that stock insole that comes with it is as rigid as a piece of paper o_O).

Just annoyed that they've basically sold out, now that I've actually gotten around to testing them and want to get a second pair.... guess I'll have to wait till the next sale :cautious:

never understood how like... an American company prioritize inventory at another region other than their own

I took the plunge after seeing reviews on here and I have to say, I am a big fan of these shoes. It feels great and can definitely second on shoe sizing, I usually go size 8.5 but went down to size 8 and it was a perfect fit. I usually use the Vapor Cage 4 but always had foot pain after long matches but so far with the Zoom NXT, I have had none of those, and definitely much lighter than the Cage.

Four months in on mine and no complaints. Still very comfortable and the clay tread has held up well. Will be buying more.

If Nike going to get rid of the Vapor Cage 4s, they should offer this model the 6-month warranty then up the price by $10-20 because of it imo.

I’ve hade one pair of these where the lace loops broke and another where the shoe held up until worn out. Probably okay trying another pair but do have a little bit of a trust issue going forward. The manufacturer did warranty the faulty lace loops though.

my pair arrived today for me to try out today. definitely above average (going to keep it) but nothing particularly outstanding. only flaw would be it being low in lateral support on the medial side. nike took no risks with this shoe other than having a cool hollow outsole. boring like an appliance but well made and good overall. going to need these one day in the future.

OH....okay. much more peace of mind then. was literally going to return it. what did you wear before the NXTs though?
Cages and resolutions. Love the nxt as a shoe but for the trust issues I have with the lacing system. Maybe Nike will fix it on the next batch.

what were you wearing before these dude?

For training, it's either the Asics Court FF2 or the new Adidas Barricade.

For matches it's between the Head Sprint Pro 3.0 or the Adidas Ubersonic 2s (or some 3s that are for clay and barely used).

I don't think the NXT is supposed to be a durability shoe, so it'll generally be put in rotation with the latter.

fat 5-shoe rotation dude!

as for durability it seems like the outsole on these zooms are great but the uppers are highly suspect

Just had the curse everyone else had. After wearing these on the weekend the shoe lace lip nearest to the top end of the shoe snapped off as i just tied my laces.....

well **** this is a bit sad :(
