Nike Elite Tennis Socks

Has anybody else bitten the bullet and spent a ridiculous amount of money on these Nike Elite Tennis socks?

I've got a few pairs and while they're mighty comfortable, if you wear shoes with black insides (like the 2014 and 2015 USOpen Lunar Ballistec) they rub off a lot of black onto the back part of the sock.

With that said, I know they release certain colors to different retailers and not everyone gets the same stuff, but did anyone see this colorway for sale anywhere during the French Open 2015? It's not like Tomic is Federer/Rafa-level to get custom everything, but these Persian Violet/Hot Lava socks are f-ing AWESOME, do they exist for non-Nike-sponsored mere mortals like the rest of us??? These seem especially rare/odd because as far as I can find, none of the other Nike team members wore them, and Fed certainly didn't.

Same question with Rafa and Fed's Night Kit socks from US2015, did they ever get sold anywhere, maybe at the NYC USOpen pop-up Nike store or are they just completely Player Exclusive? I got a pair of the Lava base/Black trim ones which are nice, but not quite as Sith Lord as Rafa's were:

I didn't particularly like the RF Day kit color scheme at the time but it has since grown on me, did we ever figure out what happened to all the shoes? They got pulled for not having permission for the image of the USOpen trophy right?

I've said it before but I'm still scratching my head as to why Nike will sell the headband, the wristbands, the shirt, the shorts, (sometimes) the shoes, but then not the socks, or not the wristbands, there's always at least ONE piece missing, if not more... *gets sad thinking about RF's awesome Cinci Squadron Blue/Sport Fuchsia kit* I've got the headband and I'm still hoping for the shorts as there are a few pairs floating around but that shirt disappeared quickly and the shoes never existed besides on Roger's feet as far as I can tell:

Fed's Us Open night socks exist, i've got a pair or two. However i was thinking the same about the Persian Violet and Hot Lava pair. Really wanted those however i did see a few Nike Team players wearing them such as the Kokk(Will be interesting to see him rise again soon......Pardon the pun, i had to). Hope they release them at some point as purple is my fave colour

The Fed and Rafa socks are just made to look like elites, but they are the same socks they've been wearing.

I prefer the basketball elites or the half cushioned training socks. Same cushion but different blend in materials.

Agreed, I loved all the Persian Violet / Hot Lava stuff, and before the Hot Lava I didn't even like orange, it just hits that sweet spot between orange and pink. I think the only thing I'm missing is these socks and the Violet/Navy/Lava Lunar Ballistecs, but those still seem to be floating around so hopefully I'll grab one at some point. Oh and the sick Agassi Tech Challenge II:

Is it just me or does Hot Lava seem to be a hell of a lot more pink on the throwback stuff? I mean looking at the pictures I posted above, the first pic in this thread is a straight up ORANGE shirt. Rafa's Black/Lava is a Halloween kit if I've ever seen one, and I never got why people were complaining about Fed's "pink" US15 Vapors because they always looked orange to me, (and he wore Hyper Punch stuff at US14 and that was uncompromisingly pink) although I guess people's monitor/TV settings are all different. The Emerald/Teal/Lava color scheme rides that "so hideous it's cool" line pretty well, but these Tech Challenges and the accompanying gear Andre wore back in the day look way more pink to me, am I the only one who thinks so? It's been pointed out to me that I'm a bit more OCD/just plain obsessive about these kind of details than other people. but anyone who spends time on a message board on the internet doesn't really have a leg to stand on to call anyone else nerdy...

Since Volt seems to keep coming back, as do Midnight Navy and Photo Blue, I really hope we see some more Hyper Punch, some more Copa and that they continue the Lava. Being able to match pieces from almost every single release collection from 2015 because they almost always had Lava was super smart on Nike's part, as then you're not just buying a color that won't be used again, (like the Teal/Emerald stuff) you can just build a whole matching collection.

I bought 4 pairs when they had them for 2 for 1 at Tour tennis in Charleston SC. Nice cushioned socks... My feet sweat quite a bit in them though.

it's not same color.
the socks is white and crimson.
there is slight color difference between US open day apparels and the socks.

anyway it's not the same socks though. Fed does not wear elite socks. he uses same old socks with new elite socks design and colors.
