This is normal. sometimes Nike will change up the fit and shape of the shoes slightly but it makes a huge difference to our feet. so slight changes really messes up the fit and makes it uncomfortable. That is why we end up changing the shoe and buy something else. Like Yonex Eclipsion 1 was perfect fit for me and they made some changes to Eclipsion 2, now I can't wear it anymore due to horrible fit. Now I have to look else where like Nike Air zoom zero or Asic.I havent. Just know the Vapor 9 and 9.5 fit my foot perfectly and can't wear the Vapor X now.
There is a sample pair of them in the Nike outlet by you. Size 10 though but you can get the idea. So, what's the consensus on the Prestige line?

Very cheap and nasty feeling reborn version of the Vapor Tour 9.5. Narrower, tighter all round fit. Tread pattern is the best feature, matches the Vapor Tour. Cannot recommend. So, what's the consensus on the Prestige line?
What if some like the tighter fit? Like, I dont really have flippers and tend to like a locked-in feelVery cheap and nasty feeling reborn version of the Vapor Tour 9.5. Narrower, tighter all round fit. Tread pattern is the best feature, matches the Vapor Tour. Cannot recommend.
The Prestige may defiantly suit a narrower overall lower volume foot. I think the main reason players are disappointed with the Vapor 9.5 replacements is the Vapor 9.5 had quite a unique fit. Was more generous in volume than most others. So any change in that has upset users. The Vapor 9-9.5 were also around for many years. What if some like the tighter fit? You should have read the threads here - 1/2 size up.As a longtime wearer of the Vapor 9/9.5s, I finally and reluctantly picked up a pair of the Xs notwithstanding the negative reviews. I had previously tried them on in person at the store before purchasing online, and while the fit was definitely narrower, I figured it would be no problem as they'll eventually break in and mold to my feet. After a couple hours, however, they still feel pretty tight in the mid foot, with some pressure in my instep area. Not sure how much longer it will take to stretch them out a bit more. Even more troublesome is the slickness of the outsole and the excessive sliding with the shoe. Definitely looking to find NOS pairs of the Vapor 9/9.5s now.
I actually tried 1/2 size up in the store. The length was too long. Given the predicament, I decided to keep the same size and allow the shoe to break in to stretch out the mid foot area, as you can't change the length of the shoe. Thicker or double sock to fill up some of the length would only exacerbate the tightness of the mid foot area. You should have read the threads here - 1/2 size up.
I have both and do not agree with you.Nike really messed up the fit and comfort of the Vapor X Tour. I have never had a more uncomfortable Nike shoe for my foot.
Good for you. I hate the Vapor Tour XI have both and do not agree with you.
Hearing the mixed reviews on the Vapor X's and the escalating price, I bought a pair of Prestiges in the same size as my 9.5s. Probably a little narrower. Odd that when you put it on it feels as if it has more cushioning, but when on the court seems a little stiffer. The stiffness initially translated to more stress/stiffness in my feet the day after. But after about 4-6 hours in the shoe, either they broke in and no longer bother the feet or my feet have adjusted. So, what's the consensus on the Prestige line?
