Nike released limited edition shoes to celebrate Fed's record for most weeks at #1

beautiful shoes.
however, i cannot have anything with RF on it. It is just so sycophantic. my initials aren't RF. why the F am i wearing shoes with RF on them??? It's vomit inducing already to see Federer coming out on wimbledon courts in cashmere cardigans and suits in gold-encrusted crests. (yes, i get the business side. please don't teach me business).

why can't Nike leave the RF to just Federer. Why do they h ave to ruin perfectly good shoes with that stupid logo?

Nike didn't spend millions designing and marketing RF so that Federer can have little logos on himself, they invested to make more money, just like how they marketed the Nike swoosh. I see no difference people wearing Tshirts with the Nike swoosh on them and Tshirts with RF logos. It's just a logo so get over yourself.:)

thanks for the business lesson, despite my request to not have one.

$1.5k - $5k at fleabay.
Never go by what they're listed at. Someone can list it at $100,000... doesn't mean anything though if it doesn't sell.

Always look at the completed listings... the sold items are what gives you the true indication of the market value.

So far, two have sold... one for $1000, the other for $600. The second seller most likely left money on the table because he set it as Buy It Now.

The only other relevant listing right now is an auction that has two bids, currently at $610.

ugly, not in the true tradition of tennis
but 'hood type
just pretend modern
that's what we do, copy everything from basketball, including their shorts

Besides being ridiculously overpriced, the shoes look rather ugly too. Shame Roger has to be drawn into these cheap marketing ploys dictated by the whims of his sponsors. Despite being practically in love with the man I have never bought any RF memorbilia (barring a red RF hat) or tennis related gear (and no its not just because of the utter lack of RF related products for females).

For me, it's all a bunch of gimmicky marketing hogwash that sponsors use to prey and ultimately inviegle money out of weak willed individuals (with too much money and too little common sense) who think owning such things invariably serves in enhancing their own self-worth (and symbolic link with their idol) via the mere association of some superficial commodified aspect of the identity of that player.
