I know a few threads like this have been posted, but I'm going to go all out. Not just the best Nike RF kits, but all of them.
I will give pics, then rate out of 4.

20 years ago, Roger appeared in Basel like this

All white, pretty basic. 2/4

1999, nice grey/white combo. Still pretty basic but a little better. 2/4

first GS appearance, red/white. pretty solid kit. this would become the norm for Nike RF: solid polo, white shorts. 3/4

2000, not much changed, a light-colored polo w/black. 2/4

the iconic bandana is added. 2/4

2001: really don't know what this is about. 1/4

a good all-white wimbledon kit, and a legendary upset over Sampras. 2/4

What was Nike thinking with this one? Can I give it 0 stars? 1/4

2002: played a great 5-setter vs Haas. This red/white kit was probably the best yet.

I really liked this black and white kit. Nike's best RF outfit up to that point. 4/4

the first truly iconic RF outfit. The electric blue and white, with blue shoes are now the stuff of legend. 4/4

I actually liked the red version more. 4/4

Nike steps up to the plate once again for the French with a red, white, and black kit. 3/4

Grey accents this year with the Wimbledon outfit. 2/4

I absolutely loved this deep crimson and grey outfit. I loved it so much that I bought it. 4/4

this blue, yellow and white kit wasn't too bad either. Superman! 3/4

Nike continued the pattern of black-and-white for the Masters Cup. This time with a more complex pattern on it. 3/4

Edit: ah I see, that similar Nike RF thread was yours. Well, as I already said, I know threads liek this are being posted, but I'm not asking for pics, I'm posting all of them. Like a complete timeline.

2006: Nike designed this awesome white/black outfit with lime green accents, outdoing themselves once again at the AO. 4/4

Without the green, though, it's pretty boring. 2/4

Federer's blue and black kit contrasted well with the red clay. 3/4

But he looked pretty boring at Wimbledon. 2/4

The blue/white was starting to get boring, too. 2/4

Federer went for this white and navy outfit in the fall season. At this point, Roger is Nike's most recognized athlete. 2/4

Another grey and yellow kit, another win for Nike. 3/4

Nike puts Fed in a sky blue polo with white stripes and a navy blue block, sort of like a golf polo; the kind he would wear the rest of his career. 3/4

The dark blue variant, however, is a GOAT contender, just as Federer started to become at this point. 4/4

This white variant wasn't bad either. 2/4

What is this? From the lack of color coordination to the awful vertical stripes, Nike messed up. 1/4

The blue version was a little more bearable. 2/4

GOAT wimbledon all-white outfit; the gold detailing was reportedly made with real gold! 4/4

And here we are. The absolutely iconic all-black BatFed with tuxedo shorts to top it off. One of the best kits Nike has ever made for Federer. Only topped by one other IMO. 4/4

Solid red polo with black shorts for the Masters Cup. 3/4

GOAT Australian Open kit. All black again, this time with blue. Nike was partly responsible for RF's image in the tennis world as the "King of tennis", when they created GOAT-worthy designs like this. 4/4

The day outfit wasn't bad either. 3/4

Federer went into the hard court season with this white and blue kit. Not very memorable, butnot bad either. 2/4

For the clay season, Federer wore this deluxe light blue polo, which I bought like a sucker. 3/4

Nike went with the all-dark theme again, and again they succeeded. 3/4

Not much to say here, other than that he played one of the greatest matches of all time that year. 2/4

Federer looked like a UPS worker in the US Open. 1/4

But the red version was much better. 3/4

2009: and thus began a GOAT year for Nike RF. The lightweight material and the choice of colors was an instant success. 4/4

At Indian Wells, Fed wore another all-dark ensemble with "oreo" vapor VI's. 3/4

Same design throughout the year, solid polo with colored collar, shorts with stripe. Only the colorways changed, and this one in particular was quite memorable. 4/4

Dark grey with light blue for the clay. Nike continued to deliver, as did Federer, who beat Rafa Nadal in Madrid. 3/4

Everything about this is peRFect. The glowing blue polo and dark blue shorts, the orange accents matching the terre battue, and of course the Career Grand Slam. Nike hit it out of the park with this one. 4/4

I'll ignore the hideous warm-up suit and judge this design by this picture. The gold accents really made this, just as it did in 07. This time with gold on the shoes' wiring too. 4/4

The oreo shoes reappeared in the summer, along with a blue/grey outfit. The details of the polo really make this one. 4/4

Nike made this great scarlet/black US Open day kit, which was as cool as the tweener he made there. 4/4

But the night kit was far better. Once again, all black, but with bright scarlet accents; not only GOAT outfit, but GOAT tennis shoes too, the black/red leather Vapor 6's. This whole outfit screamed class just like his tennis. I reserved my 5 star rating for this one. 5/4

Federer rounded off the year with this classic look, navy shirt with white. 3/4

Another iconic RF kit, very similar to his stuff from the US Open previous year in color scheme and with the vapor 6's. 4/4

Federer wore an orange Henley instead of a polo in Miami, but still looked and played like a beast. 4/4

Another henley, this time a crisp black-and-white for the clay. 3/4

This wasn't bad either, with the sleeve pattern and gradient on the shoes. 2/4

Federer was beaten early at Wimbledon by a blazing-hot Tomas Berdych. A disappointing result and a disappointing Nike design. 1/4

What was Nike thinking when they made this? Pink, with tuxedo frills. 1/4

Great thread idea!! I disagree with your uso2005 rank though. That was the legendary Superman outfit and it's not grey it's a dark blue.

That should have been at leastl4/5 as that shirt coupled with the Navy blue air vapor speed is unforgettable from the final with Agassi.

Quite right.

It's not that difficult to have a classy tennis outfit:

- White polo with collar, in a cut that's not too baggy
- White shorts, not too long or baggy
- White socks
- White shoes

The other classy variation would be navy polo / white shorts, or white polo / navy shorts. As above, it's the cut that actually matter.

Following the US Open, Nike made RF a royal purple polo, a rare color for Federer. 4/4

Nike chose this fiery red and grey outfit to cap off Federer's year, as he rolled back the years to beat Murray, Djokovic, and Nadal back-to-back: peRFect 4/4

White and yellow for the Australian Open. One of the less memorable AO kits Nike has put out there. 2/4

Colors reversed for the hardcourt spring. 2/4

Federer wore this really nice grey kit for Miami. The neon bandana and wristband add a little color to it, making it that much better. 4/4

A blue colorway for the clay, as is custom with Nike. 2/4

Red and white once again, this time with subtle textural stripes. Looked epic and played epic. 4/4

All-white for Wimbledon, this time with green details. I love the subtlety of the green lines. 3/4

A rare blue v-neck with white. I actually liked this almost as much as the polos. 3/4

And Nike outdoes themselves once again at the US Open. Red t-shirt with grey = win. 4/4

All-grey for the night session. The grey-and-white shoes are absolutely amazing Can't decide which is more epic. 4/4

Nothing out of the ordinary in the fall season. 2/4

But Nike made a much more memorable kit for the O2. This whole outfit screams class. One of my favorites. 4/4

One of the classics from Nike RF. Iconic look for an iconic tournament. 4/4

Roger used a red bandana for day sessions and anthracite for night. It's the subtlety that counts.

Reverse blue for red, and dark grey for light grey, and you have another classic outfit. 4/4

This one was originally a lower-level Nike line intended for challengers and to be sold commercially, but Federer liked this one more and asked Nike if he could wear this one. Not only is he a tennis legend, but he's got good taste in graphic design too! Potential post-retirement career? 4/4

A lot of it has to do with times having moved on with the fitting of the clothes. Nowadays it’s more in style to wear more fitted clothes than back then. The old clothes are all very baggy so look worse than they are

But the reddish orange vapor's were a great addition. 2/4

Nike didn't exactly release their best with this boring grey-and-white. 1/4

Finally another memorable design. Another v-neck, this time in dark blue to contrast the bright red. 3/4

Nike decked Federer in something memorable for the French, a royal silver and red. Fitting for the Maestro. 4/4

There isn't much freedom for design with Wimbldeon's all-white. So unless something really out-of-the-blue is added, they all pretty much look the same. 2/4

The colors on this are just so aesthetic. Mint green and blue. A win in my book. 4/4

The US Open day session kit. The marine colors are peRFect. Bravo, Nike. 4/4

vehemetly disagree about the 2012 wimbledon outfit, it was extremely well done and the ONLY RF wimbledon outfit to feature Wimbledon's official colors (purple, white, and gree)

If you read my OP, i said that a 3/5 is good, and 2/5 is average. I liked a lot of these designs, but i'm giving 2's and 3's because i don't think they are exactly iconic, except a few. And I said there can only be one 5/5 which I already gave. My grading scale was harsh from the start. My default is 2. If I give it a 3, I consider it good.

2015: Federer went for this bold radioactive green and silver kit at Melbourne. A departure from the norm, and an awesome one. 4/4

Nike misfired on this one, though. Nothing on this outfit matches. The garish orange t-shirt to the purple shoes. This is something a junior club player would wear, not Roger Federer. 1/4

Nike recovered themselves with this iconic clay kit. Perfect choice of colors: an aqua and dark blue base with peach clay-colored accents, as well as some light gradient on the polo. Bravo Nike. 4/4

Fed should have just stuck with the previous colorway. I don't know who's more at fault here, the designer who made this, or the people at Nike who approved it. Add onto it an upset loss to Stanislas Wawrinka. Not the best finish for Federer's RG career. 1/4

Henley at Wimbledon. Interesting move by Nike. 3/4

Another interesting colorway. Raspberry red and dark blue. Bold move, and I'd say it's pretty good. 2/4

A very memorable white, dark green, and pink US Open outfit. Another hit. 4/4

Tried to depart from the norm. Points for effort, but the pink is garish and it just isn't appropriate for Federer. 1/4

As always, Nike does their best in the fall season. Dark theme once again, this time in blue. 3/4

2016: A Nike RF classic. Just suited him so well. When I saw his first round match that year, first thing I took notice of was the badass outfit, only then his tennis. 4/4

Federer's last clay outfit. A rare maroon polo, with matching shoes, paired with ice blue. 3/4

This all-navy kit was originally intended for the Parisian clay, but it looks just as striking on Halle grass. 3/4

Considering how Nike has made so many outstanding Wimbledon outfits for Federer, this was a bit subpar. 2/4

2017: a resurgent Federer wins perhaps his most memorable Slam title at the AO in this striped shirt and radioactive orange shoes. 3/4

This was perhaps Nike's last RF model that would be remembered as iconic. A peRFect green and black kit with awesome tie-dye shoes and neon soles just for good measure. 4/4

There’s nothing wrong with the narrative. Federer wore the original outfit that @King No1e mentioned (not the exact Shanghai one; it was light turquoise with gold highlights) for his first indoor match in Basel, then in the middle of his Istomin match changed to this grey outfit which didn’t have the RF logo initially, but was added in time for Paris and London. That to me shows it wasn’t meant for him in the first place.

He also called the famous, gorgeous 2005 USO shirt grey - it’s medium blue. The back venting (which Nike also did in 2006 at Wimbledon and USO) is incredible. I paid an arm and leg to get one since I missed it at launch.

I always thought of it as a bluish grey. And yes, as someone earlier said, it looks a lot like Superman. Anyway I liked the red one he wore for Cincy much more.

Compared to past designs, this Nike RF outfit just didn't have anything distinctive about it. Nike is starting to scale down with RF, it seems. 2/4

This design managed to be boring; all-white with little detail, and garish; bright pink shoes, at the same time. Eyes hurt just looking at this. Well done Nike, you managed to hit the sweet spot of crappy design. 0/4

Similar theme at Indian Wells, but switched out pink with yellow and added better shoes and black shorts. Much more bearable. But you get the feeling Nike is declining in the tennis industry slowly. 2/4

Nike RF's last hurrah. A rare all-blue kit, I really liked the Shelby stripes on the front. It was a good way to finish. 3/4















It's been a great 20 years. Nike RF was a behemoth of a brand, attracting millions of tennis fans including me. But all good things come to an end.

Australian Open 2006 kit was the best of all time.

Back in the day where you could still buy Federer kits and not look like a wannabe die-hard. Nike blended casual with pro. Wish I could buy a few of those white and lime t-shirts

Saw the Indian Wells 2018 shirt yesterday...uglier in person and the quality was so poor. Nike having the nerve to charge $100 for a flimsy shirt, one can do miles better with $30 at Under Armor or Uniqlo
