Anybody knows if it is going to be available for purchase with or without the Swiss flag?
I thought he wore same polo like last year's Olympic polo.
In that case, the polo was available to public and sold out.
I watched a little of the doubles today - and I'm 99.99% sure you're right - zippered shirt with the other color around the zipper with swoosh and flag. And no reason to think Nike would re-release - maybe if SUI wins the whole thing. But the OP should check the 'big auction site' once a week or so - one may come up for sale - probably won't be cheap.
I have one. I lucked up and found one on clearance at a local tennis store last year for about 30 bucks.
saw it on **** for $300. Definitely not going to buy. I doubt they will re-release. Thought it was worth checking.
Oh, I hope it's too snug on you!!!!!!!
You are the King of The Bargain Hunters...I still remember your tale of finding a GHOAT @Marshall's or TJ Maxx! Epick pick!
Sorry Major Tom....this one is a keeper. I have lost about 12 lbs. too and want to lose more.....I may have shirts that are too big now instead of too tight!!
I own a large but haven't worn it yet.
Where would you wear it if you had one.
People look at you funny bringing it at the courts since I've seen others wear it.
I would only wear it at a bar when watching tennis on TV.
I wear it to play in. I don't give a crap what anybody else thinks.
Well, I hope you manage to get one. Sometimes I've seen that auction site sell them for a reasonable price around $100. I paid $85 from the store.
That seller has quite a collection - has a few other Fed shirts I'd like - just not as his prices which don't seem to budge.
That seller drives me nuts. He buys up all the New with Tags Rafa and Roger stuff for the regular prices ($35-$60), then jacks up the price instantly to $150-$250.
He has singlehandedly cornered the market on all older more collectible stuff. Even the newer 2013 stuff he'll buy, then jack them up. He right now has the 2013 Rafa shorts for almost $100.
Uh, I already have one....look a few posts above
Next time buy two...one for me!
It is the same polo from what I saw. There's no need for Nike to create a new shirt for Davis Cup. The Olympic shirt looks really clean but I don't know if I'd prefer a zipper or a button-up for the polo.
Thanks for the info - I didn't know his strategy. I figured he just bought one of everything for RF/RN as they came out and put them away.
The shirts I have been watching have been on sale for over a year. I guess if he has the room to store all of them and doesn't need the money, it's his prerogative. I just don't think these items (without autographs or were match worn) will ever be worth that much even after they retire.
This is how it seems to me at least - he knows that us fans want what we want. And most of us at one point or another will be willing to spend a crazy amount of money to get a shirt we've been looking for.
I was looking for the 2010 Doha Rafa shirt forever, he was the only one to have one for $200. I talked him down to $150, it was new with tags, but still.
I guess it's a smart business move, but after I bought the shirt I told myself "never again", no shirt is worth that much. I am happy with the product though, sweet @ss shirt.
Oh, I thought you watched both the initial auction sale, then resale. If no one bids against him and he gets them for that little, good for him.
Yeah that is a lot. Do you remember what the RF/Rafa list prices were in 2010? $55? I can't remember. He may or may NOT have the only new one in your size - from 2010, odds are it was. But that's good that you're happy with it - consider it a one time splurge or your birthday gift to yourself for the next few yrs.
I still expect to see many of his items on the site for a long time.
I think I would buy the shirt for $120 - although may be pushed to $150 depending on the day and regret it right after.
