Nike Tennis Socks

So I have three pairs of those Nike tennis socks with the all grey bottoms I snagged on the bay about a year ago... they come up every once in a while. Point is, are they EVER sold anywhere else? I really want to stock up a little bit on them. Only pair I can find right now has a blue swoosh... and 16 bucks!

I swear by those Nike Dri-Fit ones (3pairs for $15) ones. Perfect cushioning for me, however I do wear 2 pairs of socks.

My only problem with them is, their sizes are all messed up. Going by shoe size, I fit in their medium range, but the sock is big enough to cover my entire lower leg. It's ridiculous.

Those grey bottom socks ur refering to are only sold at the US Open in my knowledge... That's where I stocked up on them at least whenever I go! They're the best socks for tennis IMO, but since I only have a few pairs I mostly reserve them for matches and practice in the normal drift ones

This x1000000

These are the worst fitting socks of all time. It says for adult sock the range is 8-12, and I am a 10, but they are still far too large for me to wear.

I have those as well... On the contrary, I love the length of the socks. Feels like socks for soccer.

Put them in the dryer... they will shrink to size.

Im a size 10~ / 10 1/2 and the Mediums are the only ones that fit me perfectly. Larges are insanely huge. Even after the dryer, my mediums always stay the same. Same with large.

Uses of Nike Dri-Fit Cushioned Crew socks

Put them in the dryer... they will shrink to size.

By the way, I was referring to the Dry-Fit CUSHIONED Crew socks, not the normal Dry-Fit (uncushioned I guess?) socks.

And nope, the dryer didn't shrink the socks (the ONE thing that doesn't shrink from Nike, throw a Nike wristband in there and it turns into a rock).

The mediums have enough sock to go up my knees, haha. And I can't find the smalls anywhere. I'm not even sure if Nike even makes them in small.

BUT, if you want to get a "compression sleeve" for your calves, just wear two pair of these and you're good to go.

If you want to not look like a soccer player, go one range lower.

I have six pairs of the Nike tennis socks that the OP described, and I wish I got more. TW and the other sites stopped carrying them a couple of years ago, so I believe they've been discontinued (maybe except for US Open as posted earlier?). I've been looking myself lately and can't find anyplace that carries them. Those are the best tennis socks.

There are two types with slight differences. The type you have were available for general retail sale, say Dri-Fit and L/R on the sock and are c. 65% cotton content. The other type are Player Exclusive (last sold at the '12 US Open), have no writing on them and are c. 75% cotton content. I have about 20 pairs left of the latter, bought at $2.99 per pair. Both are very similar though, and are the best tennis socks I've worn. Thorlos are too slippery and Elites don't breathe well.

As goes the 3 pack for $15 Half cushion Nike socks, they are my second favorite. Good cushioning and breathability.

As a heavy sweater and fast mover, quality socks and shoes are essential for me to stay in good health.

What's all this talk of the $15 L/R Dri-Fit crews not fitting well? I'm a 10.5/11 in US mens and wear a large for the socks and mine always end right at the bottom of my calf muscle.

Wow... I'm a size 9.5-10 and nike crew socks fit perfect... both half cushioning and the one with grey heel....

Now Adidas... Adidas runs huge.

I highly recommend the adidas team speed socks if you can go for the elites... they breathe real well and the cushion actually stays consistent. Just size down one for the perfect fit if you have a fringe shoe size (like if you have a 9.5 like me, take a medium)...

the socks is rare one.
I don't think it was released at US open.
I remember the color was treasure blue. Nadal wore the socks at AO 2012.
I saw it on bay a few days ago. Funny thing is OP posted the thread then three pairs were gone within an hour haha.
the value of socks might be more than $16. I think some diehard nadal fans are willing to pay $30 even $50 in my opinion ^_^

i got a pair for 17

Might be fair price since it was not avavilable for public.
The other two were gone right after you post it haha.

there is couple of more colors of this socks version.
Colors: white with black swoosh, white with obsidian, white with nepture blue, white with treasure blue, black with neon yellow and black with white.

Correction : this socks is nepture blue.
Treasure blue is for the other socks color but never used by anyone.

Got it. Thanks. Now what can you tell me about THESE (advertised as Nike tennis socks), with no grey bottoms.

Federer socks, but I'm not entirely sure. These are much thinner than the nadal socks, but they are 100% cotton.

Yep I have them. They are quite thin, i would like to get another pair. I believe these were from 2011 US Open (at least that is where I got them from).

I never have seen tennis socks in stores anywhere around here. I usually stick to Nike Elite basketball socks and recently picked up some nike elite skateboard socks as they were on sale. They work perfectly.
