Nike Vapor 9.5 tour replacement shoes?

So, I've been wearing Vapors since the Vapor IVs.
Up until the 9.5s, they fit great and since the X forward, they don't fit.
I've tried all the new Nike shoes lines, and the Vapor NXT fit okay, but the lacing seems to leave a bit of ankle exposure so it doesn't feel locked-in and no extra eyelets to help with that.
I want a shoe that has good cushioning, light weight, easy break-in, good heel support (no heel slippage), and lower to the ground feel.
So, I'm looking for a new tennis shoes to replace my Vapor 9.5s.
The shoes that seem to fit the bill based on reviews are the Head Sprint Pro 3.0, K-Swiss Ultrashot 3, Mizuno Wave Exceed tour 4, and Wilson Rush Pro 3.0.
Any thoughts on these shoes?
Any other shoes I'm not looking at that I should?
Never been able to wear Adidas or Asics. Sizing and fit never seems to work in my shoe size for these brands and I've tried on a lot of their shoes in the hopes of finding one that works.

I'm digging the Uber 4, VC4 (.5 down) and the NXT.

Vapor Pro is a no go for me; I slide around in my normal size and too tight .5 down.

Barricade is iffy at my normal size and I haven't tried .5 down.

GP is a no go even .5 up.

Asics SS and FF are ok but they don't hold my foot well. GR8 I went .5 down and they are ok but also don't hold my foot well.

Air Zoom prestige if you can find it in stock.

Not as plush as the original Vapor Tour 9.5s but close enough. I snagged 2 pairs for about $55 each at Dick’s a year ago.

How are the Zoom Zeros?
Found a pair on the bay for a good price.
Should I pull the trigger if I want a Vapor 9.5 replacement?

I tried the Ultrashot 3 just wearing them around the tennis shop and they felt very good in terms of fit, cushion, looks, support and overall comfort.
However, they felt "hot" just wearing them around the store.
Can't imagine they will feel good in +90 degree temps in Houston much of the year. :cautious:

Also tried the HCE and HCS from K-Swiss.
They felt good in terms of cushion and looks, but didn't fit like the US3.
Both models had a very wide forefoot for me and I was wearing my thicker tennis socks.
Also, the heel support felt kind of wimpy. Like the heel counter was non-existent to very shallow.

I tried the Vapor Pros again and felt good, but still the fit felt "off" for me.
Like my heels were sitting too high in the shoes, so they didn't feel locked in and secure.
Love the way this shoes looks though!

Overall, the Head Sprint Pro 3.0 felt the closest to my old Vapor 9.5s.
Similar fit overall, maybe less cushion, but wont' really know that until I try them out.
Foot felt secure and snug, but didn't like the flat laces. Might change those out if I get these shoes.

Couldn't try the Diadora or Mizuno as I can't find them in a size 9.5.

Wilson Rush Pro 3.0 was a hidden gem. Didn't expect to like this, but the fit, feel, cushion, and support all felt great.
Looks weren't that great, but I can look the other way. ;)

Any thoughts on what to try next maybe or should I pull the trigger on the Sprint 3.0 or Rush Pro 3.0?

When you tried the head sprint pro, did you wear the same size as the zoom vapor 9.5? I'm living with the same problem as you and I'm looking for a replace :(

When I used to use 9.5s, I always thought the Solution Speed 3 was a good replacement. The Speed FF feels similar too, both of them were a bit more firm than the 9.5s but they were similar and comparable. Probably could get some more life out of the Asics too.

Sorry. Never wore them on clay.
I only wore them in the store.
Their shoe dept is on a hard court surface.
Running around and making cuts in the store, but not in a match or play situation.
Closest shoe I found to "feel" and "fit" to my Vapor 9.5s.
I have a narrow-medium size 9-1/2 shoe size.

I also found some Fresh Foam Lav V1s online.
I remember trying them when they first came out in the store and they felt great.
Reviews on these ae outstanding all around.

Any experience with the Fresh Foam Lav V1s compared to the Nike Vapor 9.5s?

Nike Air Zoom prestige is a similar model. The Vapor tour was the best tennis shoe it’s a shame they did away maybe that’s why Roger left ;)

I saw a few of those on the bay.
Might go that route, but trying to find a new shoe that I can go with so I don't have to hunt and peck to find replacement shoes.
