Nike Vapor 9.5 - Vapor Advantage?

Hello,
I have been using vapor 9.5 for years, but unfortunately, I guess it is discountinued, so I cannot find shoes fitting my size anymore. Vapor Adv. looks same ( the width, design etc.) Anyone who used these two before? I heard cage and other new shoes are relatively narrow, and I don't want that. I was very happy with vapor 9.5 tour shoes (women). thanks in advance.

You still might be able to get vapor 9.5 and find your size as many possible then stock it.
Even try to get Men’s vapor which is 1.5 size larger.

Honestly I have not tried vapor advantage but there is a reason for cheape price.
Vapor advantage looks stiffer and midsole materials are not same.

I have tried new vapor X and seen vapor prestige but huge disappointment.
Vapor prestige midsole was not same as vapor x (same like vapor advantage).
Also vapor X does not fit my feet. I rarely have fit problems for shoes but Inside part seam rubbing my bone especially right feet even though I don’t have bunion problems. Fortunate that I have enough vapor 9/9.5 for at least 3-4 years so I can skip vapor x entirely.

Alternative might be Asics. There are reason for many pros wearing Asics.

I see. I wear (40 in EU) and they are out of stock, I searched everywhere on the internet. My current shoes are about to tear down, so I need an immediate replacement. Never tried Asics before, so I don't know :/

If you live in Europe, there are some website s which sell Vapor 9.5 white - binary blue colorway with men's size 40.

Hmm but what if its structure is alittle different than for women's. (Wider feet etc.)
Men’s shoes and women’s shoes are almost same and there are several unisex versions of vapors.
Men’s shoes are slightly wider than women’s shoes but very minimal.
I have several women’s vapors but margin is very small.

@brc7,

Just an FYI -- the Vapor 9.5 Tour has been replaced by the Vapor X -- so that would be the 1st place you might want to look for a replacement.

The Vapor Advantage is also being discontinued and has been replaced by the Prestige.

Both the Vapor Advantage and the Prestige are going to be less premium options compared to both the Vapor 9.5 and X.

This might help clear it up a tiny bit:

Hope that helps!

Hello,

Thank you so much for this information.
Here where I live, I could find some Advantage in stock, that's why I wondered if it would be a good replacement choice.

About the vapor X, I've read some comments stating it is alittle narrower on the tip from the sides and up above the finger, which made me hesitate to try it.

Thank you.

Hello. Today I ordered a men's version (25.5 cm), I'll see if it's gonna work for me. Thanks again for your informing.
So you wear women size 9 (26cm) and ordered 7.5 (25.5) in men’s vapor? Then it will fit okay.
I just checked my vapors since my size is your size (can’t believe I have over 30 pairs of vapors 9/9.5 haha.)
A little strange calculation between men’s shoes and women’s shoes.
Women size 9 (26cm/eu40.5) and men size 7.5 (25.5cm/eu40) are same.

From her previous post.. she wears women's size US 8.5 =40 = 25.5 cm of Vapor 9.5 Tour.

Converted to men's size,it should be US size 7 = 40 EUR= 25 cm

So if the stock is available regardless of colorway as she needs immediate replacement, she had to order US men's size 40= 25 cm and the fit is still bit wider..

Personally I wear US men's 42 and fit perfectly comfort in Vapor 9.5 Tour.. I thought I had about 8 pairs with good functioning shoe and probably last 3 - 4 years to skip this Vapor X line..

Another 6 pairs of my Vapor looks pretty bad such as worn out sole and some part of outsole that I had reglued with my own glue formula.

That’s what I thought but Men’s size 7.5 = EU40 = 25.5cm.
Size 7 is eu38 and 25cm.
If she wear 8.5 size (women), men’s size should be 7.
If it’s slightly big, double socks or thick socks can work well.
