How come Nike are finally releasing a pair of Nike Vapor 9's in a clay court version for the first time since 2008, but chose to do it with a grey/orange colourway???
I mean, would it not make more sense to relase the Vapor 9 in the French Open colourway as a clay court version?
The grey/orange Vapor looks ok, but it hardly goes with a lot of stuff...
I really do not understand Nike's thinking some times:(

Because it's most likely Federer who chose his colours. That's all. You still can choose to get Federer's Vapor, so I don't see the problem.

The problem is, you can get Nike Vapors with a harcourt outsole matching say the Australian Open or US Open outfit, but you cant get a Vapor clay shoe matching the French Open outfit, which would make a lot more sense since it is played on clay...
Maybe it's just me though:)

Actually me too, i do want Nike release RG white/green vapor9 with clay version!
Like last year Nike released SL version for the clay and grass season, SL is easily to clean the clay, but the shoes is still for hard court, which made SL is make no sense!

I don't understand at all. Federer's clay outfit matches his Vapor. And Roland-Garros is sponsored by Adidas...

Exactly what I am thinking too!
Would have been much better for a white/navy colourway and a clay sole...
Oh well, gotta Nike ID it I guess if you want a nice looking Vapor 9 with a clay sole

I think the vapors are fine o.o will definitely get a pair for the clay courts in Taiwan haha!
I think nike was gunning for a choice between durable and well cushioned 4.3 clays or superbly comfortable vapor 9's.. and I feel like the grey+tiny bit of orange colorway is way easier to go well with navy/poisongreen colorway...

I know clay court shoes do not last long when used on hard courts but does anyone know if they have less cushion than their hard court counterpart?
