Nike Vapor IV size fitting too large

Okay, I've had my new Vapor IV for about 3 weeks now and regret not buying it a half size smaller.

I used to wear the BF3 in size 10. When brand new, the fit is slightly tight, but expands to a very comfortable glove-like fit after one playing session.

When I was trying out the Vapor IV size 10 at the shop, the fit was just nice with no tightness. I was a little concerned that it would stretch more, but the shop guy assured me that the fitting was correct and would feel perfectly comfrotable after breaking in like the BF3.

So, I went ahead and bought the Vapor IV in size 10. After just one session of play, my toes are swimming in the toe box, and I might have to wear double layer of socks for a more snug fit.

Therefore, beware when buying the new Vapor IV especially when moving over from the BF3. Try it out half size smaller, just in case.

Jonolau,
I also recently bought the Vapor IV's in the same colorway as yours. I haven't played with them out on the court yet but have worn them around the house a couple of times and they actually feel tight around the toebox to me. I got the same size as I wear in BFII's, Barricade II's, and all other tennis shoes. I was actually a bit concerned that they may be a bit too narrow. Length fit seem to be fine, though. So are you saying that they really stretch out widthwise around the toebox very quickly after just one outing on the courts? Thanks.

Yes, I was rather surprised myself. I was also concerned initially that it would be tight around the toebox, but it did stretch widthwise.

I own a pair of Vapor IV's and they haven't stretched like you mentioned. I've only played with them about 3 times (3-4hours each time) but they are as snug as they were when I first put them on at home.

My Vapor IV's fit absolutely true to size. I find them only slightly longer in the toe area than the III's but I think they're perfect.

Thinking of snagging some of the golds before they disappear.

i happen to have a size 10 for sale and my buddy has a size 8 in the gold for sale ;-)

its weird...i wore 9 in bf2 and went up to 10 in the vapor iv...the 9.5 felt snug in the toebox and i fell in love with the 10 in the store when i tried it so i got that instead...played in the 10 for an hour or so and no slipping...yet :-\ i've also begun to think of going to 9.5 in my shoes to give myself a little more room...havent had the chance to play in a size 9.5 breathe yet though to know for sure...
