Nike Vapor Lite All Court

I was praying they'd keep the Presitge. I guess there is no god. Prestige fit me much better than the Vapor 9.5, seemed to have a good balance of support and fit.

Based on price it makes me wonder if it is going to be a little cheaper in quality compared to the Prestige. Looks a little bulkier too.
Debating trying this vs the Vapor Pro.

Do I spend $20 less than I'm used to or $20 more?

Outsole looks bulky. But for some reason a lot of the photos now make the Nike shoes look like Skeechers with 10" of foam but when you see them on TV on a player they don't look like they have a 2" outsole except for that weird GP Turbo which looks like an orthotic shoe on steroids.

I also wonder if it will breathe better since the Prestige's were covered in a shiny pleather.

Still, price makes it worth a try.

Very interested in these as a 9.5 / Prestige fan (although I liked the 9.5's way better than the Prestiges). Anyone played in them yet?

Anyone played in these or seen a review?
Just thought I'd chime in from the retailer side of things, unfortunately, it looks like these have been delayed in the states and we are still awaiting delivery, which is a bit frustrating as you guys know. But once we get them, we will take a closer look and give a better fit description, etc. But I did want to note, it seems like Nike is aligning these to fall under the React Vapor NXT (from the tech callouts, etc.), although, to me it sort of looks like the Zoom Zero.

Hoping to get some in soon (like next week!), stay tuned!

They look alright. That toe swoosh make it a no go, for me. Why couldn't they go for a clean toe down look? I'm not a teenager anymore.

Any update on these? Looks like they'll be in stock June 12th, but I swear that number keeps getting pushed back. Really wearing through my current set of shoes and would love to know a bit more about these.

I just bought a pair of these. Tried them on today and they feel a bit weird on my feet - they seem narrow. I'll play with them later for a bit and see how they are. Hoping they're good - I hate to pay the current prices for the top shoes - at $80 retail, these are much more possible for me.

If you play a lot the tread might go out quick.

Played in these last night. They still felt a little tight width wise (for me) but it was better than when I first put them on. They felt light, cushioned and pretty nice. My feet started to hurt a little after an hour, but for me, that's to be expected with new shoes. I suspect I'll end up liking these.

For reference, I am coming from another cheap pair of shoes - the Zoom Prestige, which I've played on for a few years now but before that I played in various previous Vapors (8, 9) and Cages.

This only matters to me if the higher end shoes like the Vapor Pro last longer in the same proportion as their price differential. For it to make more sense for me to get the Pros, they'd have to last 1.5x longer than the Lites ($120 / $80). I'm not sure they do.

Interesting. Is there any sources that talk about this? "Super plush" doesn't necessarily mean better for your feet.

Anyway, to get this back on track, I'll be playing with these Vapor Lites again Saturday.

still boggles my mind why people would buy a "budget" nike or asics shoe.

Just buy the top of the line when they go on clearance/sale. it's definitely worth it. Don't go cheap on your feet!
Agree with this, and it really does matter. To address PatrickT...... Yes. The cushioning is better, the construction is better, the materials are better, the fit is usually better, the weight, the stability, speed, etc. They aren't just charging more for shoes that are basically the same. It's your feet man. Not the place to look for bargains. I'm not a Nike user, but there are plenty of youtube videos that deconstruct the various Asics models, and you can literally see the construction and material differences between say the GR8/Court FF2, and some of their cheaper models like the Gel Challenger.

I think ideally you need a shoe that is a good fit and performs as needed on the court. I think you are right most of the time the top line shoes will have a better chance of doing that. But in the case of the Nike Prestige, it was a much better fit than several generations of the Vapors. Lasted decent and performed very well on court for me.

The other issue with waiting on clearance is that the clearance shoes might be some funky color or size might not be there.

Maybe Nike realized they made something too good in the Prestige so they shut it down. Realized it was too good of a deal and effecting who was buying VaporXs etcs.

Regardless, this Nike Vapor Lite All Court does not compare to Prestige or Vapor. totally different shoe, even feels cheaper on the foot. I'm going to give them one more try, but it was tough for me.
Nike--bring back the Prestige.

I'm alternating between Adidas Ubersonic 4 and Nike Vapor X at the moment. The Ubersonic is far more plush and cushioned, particularly under the heel, and yet I don't find the Nike any less comfortable on the court.

Its definietly a combo of features, fit, and shape. KSwiss for the longest time in the 2010s had amazing underfoot cushioning... but it didn't translate to a decent shoe at all.

IMO these take down styles are targeted for social players that go out like once a week/weekend and need a shoe that looks like a tennis shoe rather than a high performance tennis shoe where fit/materials/construction make a huge difference
