Did any hard core GP Turbo users move on to the Diadora Toreno. This seems like the most cushy alternative.

I’ve been playing in GP Turbo’s exclusively for the last 18 months.

I may pick up another pair on the bay and try to wait it out for the 2024 variants to release. I’m playing 2 times a week - so a pair of shoes will last me six months.

But I’m concerned about the age / used condition of what is in my size (mens 12). I’m also feeling like I need to find another shoe option - just to relax my worries about being stuck with super sore heels in case I run out of time or options.

Thanks!

I've been on a quest to find a good GP Turbo Alternative as they're the only shoes that feel good on my busted up achilles/wide foot/low arch/fat boy + orthotic combo. NO other shoe has been as comfortable in the heel for me, but the closest fit I've found so far that works is the Babolat Propulse Fury 3. I only tried them on in the store and didn't buy them because they're ugly, but they felt like they could maybe do if I needed to switch.

wide foot + orthotic combo, now that is amazing. How did you manage to fit a wide foot and an orthotic in there?First of all the front toe box height is superlow.Unless your orthotics are paper thin!Did you went up in size???

Up a half size - 10.5 up to 11. The shoes are fairly "deep" compared to others I've tried so they accommodate the orthotic fine.

Tried playing on these with blown out zoom units and think I popped a calf.

Not recommended
Ouch. I broke down and bought another pair that was listed at a fair price (I’m a chicken!) but I’m worried about degradation.

Looking forward to the 2024 re-birth of the GP Turbo!!!

I have been wearing my last pair for about 6 months now and it is starting to Squike pretty loud....LOL. shoes is not in bad condition but this noise now poped up....LOL.. is this normal ?? maybe because double zoom air units do this after a while ?

Isn't the consensus that the Zoom Air sole will go bad way less quickly than a typical foam?

That's how mine sounded when they were done. Started getting some back, achilles, and knee pain after.

but the difference in width is a bit much here

what price would you consider is fair?

you can not be certain those will resemble the GP Turbo in anything besides name though
All fair points.

I chickened out and bought another pair off the bay for $115. So many going for $240+. Not sure I can stomach that!!

Just wanted to add that the few images of the 2024 GP Turbo give me hope for a well cushioned shoe. So I’m staying positive!!

But if they aren't available in 6 Months Im switching over to Diadora!

why is Tiafoe cont to get his ? and nobody can buy this anymore ?
If you read through the thread people smarter than I have explained it better than I can, but essentially the Mens sizes were discontinued about a year ago.

They continue to produce the in Womens sizes, and those fit Tiafoes foot. So if you have a smaller foot just buy the right size in Women's.

I wear a 12 so thats not an option for me, so I just watch the internet for a size 12 at a decent price

Thanks

Good news! I can stop buying pairs on ****! I think I'm fully stocked on GP Turbos for the next 2 years.

...that I can stop stocking up? From the reports of the 2024 GP Challenge 1 models. Hoping because it carries the GP name, it will have full length Air Zoom.
no! I mean from where did you get two years' supply of the turbos? :-D

like did you stumble into a single giant stash of them or did you accumulate it one by one from many differing sources?

I have knee and plantar fasciitis pain after switching away from this. What’s a good temporary replacement? ASICS gel resolution, Nike zoom nxt? I’d rather not use ****

Oh, no. I buy up the men's/women's sizes (M10/W11.5) that I can find on the bay and through retail. I have 6 pairs in the closet and I'm rotating 3 pairs for play right now. I'm only guessing that I'll go through 3 pairs each year - so 2 more years. Could be 3 years for all I know.

Whipped out some new GP Turbos... one side seems to have deflated a bit unfortunately. Would be wary of buying pairs this far out as Nike 2 year warranty has passed.

If I'm a 8.5 narrow/high arches in GR8, FF2, FF3, Vapor 9.5, what size should I aim for in women's for the Turbos?

10 U.S. women's?

I'm a 8.5 in gel res/ff2, 9 in GP turbo, 9 is my "true to size".

Had some Gel Res 9 come in today and though it's definitely a good shoe/improvement from the 9, but feels a bit too performance oriented for my liking.
