I don't think i've ever seen them as low as $70. Maybe if you have an odd size you can get them on clearance. Right now on TW US there are a few different prices for different colors. The cheapest is the NY design but the sizes are very limited.

I have a very odd size lol. I take a 6M/7.5W

I also use the Bay of Ease, so there's that.

can we trade shoe sizes? lol man... size 9 is the worst. everyone has my feet

Problem is I can't buy men's shoes in many places. I love REI but they start at 8 in most cases. Merrell starts at 7.

The one nice part is that TW stocks my size in men's and it's usually one of the last ones available.

Size 10 here, hard to find this size on the bay. But I still have a mini collection of men's and women's color ways in case that new GP Challenge 1 doesn't work out. With shipping, I'm paying around retail price for these. Ugh. At least the newer color ways from Nike did have a more accommodating size range for guys who couldn't cram into a women's 12 (men's 10.5).

I’m men’s US12 in these. Very hard to find size runs here. Generally more chance of finding old dead stock of the men’s version than a ladies equivalent size run here.

There do seem to be people reselling almost new pairs every now and then, though. This was a shoe where the sizing was pretty different to a lot of Nike tennis shoes with the toe room issue and a lot of people got the wrong size when they first bought them, or didn’t break them in, and sold them on afterwards.

Gents, how many hours/matches are we getting out of these?

I'm hitting the 20-match mark on three different pairs and I'm wondering if they're past it now.

I'm in a lot of pain after 4h 40m of continuous tournament play and I'm wondering if that's just unavoidable due to burning 2500 calories on gritty courts, or whether it's because the shoes aren't cushioning me enough anymore?

Is Grumpy Bear playing tennis again?
She had legimately suffered from clinical depression and is getting better. It just happens to some people, its legimate illness like getting any other disease like diabetes, heart failure and so on. You can just shake it off just cause you are rich. So she's coming back from that, and hopefull she can stay healthy and happy on the tennis court so that we will continue to see her play. she's every bit as good as Iga or Coco.

but Naomi doesn't seem to take losing as well as Iga or coco though

It didn’t look like she took winning all that well either. It ain’t just forehands and backhands and serves. It’s publicity and endorsements and … gasp … PRESS CONFERENCES! Oh noes!

She had the best press conferences of anyone on tour. Hilarious answers. The whole press room would end up laughing. Maybe she thought they were laughing at her, not w her. I'm glad she's back. Can't wait for her press conferences.

I thought she said she wasn’t doing press anymore because she’s a special, unique snowflake.

Irrelated question: do you use the last eyelet when lacing the GP Turbo? If no, do you have any heel slippage?

I do use the last eyelet but I don't think I'm doing it right. Does the runner's knot use both of the last eyelets?

Anyway, I do use it, and have never had heel slippage issues at all. I have zero issues with these shoes except wearing through the toe bc I drag a lot

why is it that Osaka still gets her GT Turbo and men can't get it. i was going to buy the women's shoe Osaka is wearing since i was told it was exactly same as men's version. but they don't have the Size. its in women's size and they are all small. i need size 10.5 or 11

I'm wearing women's size 13, but I normally wear men's 11. The only size 13 women's I found was in the tennis ball green. It's annoying, but everytime I feel the plushness in the forefoot, I stop caring about the color way.

Where are you getting the pain? The air zoom in the strobel is quilted I think, which means that the air cushioning can start to dissipate in high wear areas, particularly the forefoot. The full length zoom in the midsole is super hard wearing imo, but the strobel seems to squash down quite a bit over time and that provides a lot of the comfort aspects. Could be that your zoom strobel is flattening out a bit in the forefoot or other high wear areas.

Hmmm? I can not understand this part.

There's two eyelets in the last position with one being closer to the foot. I use that one.

It recently occurred to me that maybe the correct way is to use both of the final/top/last eyelet holes.

oh so you mean to say that you used to skip the "usual" last ones but no longer skip it? I get you now

I still skip them but I'm gonna try using both of the final eyelet holes on each side of the tongue and see if that's better.

The thing that really hurts after matches is my collapsed right arch. So being able to lace up tighter on right inner foot is very key

Yeah. This is the same reason I don't use shoes which require me to use the runner's loop to prevent heel slippage. The downward pressure is a bit much for me.

I've always clowned on the GP Turbos because of their fit but now that I think about it, I can actually tolerate the fit, but can not handle the slippage. The last lace hole in the GP Turbos are way "too forward" which makes the opening of the shoe too long. Proportionally speaking, the the very last eyelet on the GP Turbos line up with the the second last eyelet of other shoes, which makes the opening too big which in turn, creates slippage unless you use the runner's loops which in turn, collapses the arch. I think if the last lace holes were even further back, I would use the Turbos as well.

Say more about the runner's loops collapsing the arch? Please

Yes I noticed. Funny how perspective changes on that sort of thing once you’re faced with the realities of parenthood and not having a career.

Also just age and maturity.

I don't think she ever really deserved all the hate she got, but it seems she's realized she was a bit aloof and standoffish.

these people don't hate her bc she was "a bit aloof and standoffish"... they think its "woke" she spoke out about her mental health struggles and racism and etc etc etc...

I understand but I'm speaking on what she said, which was something like "now I want to give back as much love as I get" or something along those lines.

The Woke Police will hate her regardless, I'm not addressing that.

Sure, but like "facing the reality of parenthood and life without a career" is not a good faith take on her situation - she is more relaxed because with age and new perspective, she was able to overcome her mental health issues and is happy now as a mother with a family and she wants to play more - they're making out like she's going to go broke all of a sudden bc shes a woman with nothing else to offer and her mental health issues were all made up.

That’s a load of presumptuous BS. I don’t think, nor did I imply that her mental health issues were made up. Let alone anything about wokeness.

I said she doesn’t get a free pass on the media responsibilities of a professional athlete who receives tens of millions of dollars from sponsors just because she’s depressed, introverted and doesn’t like giving press conferences. That’s not reality. It’s not how any of this works.

The mental health stuff was made up. I'll say it. And I'm not a redpill crusader.

She didn't like playing on the natural surfaces, didn't feel she needed to stoop to explain herself to the media, and said "mental health" to get them off her back. Her sister inadvertently exposed all this on a Reddit AMA that she did to try to smooth things over.

But what I really came to say is that all of you in this thread are horrible people who should feel ashamed of making me spend so much money on one shoe!

I saw that some of the ugly colorways are hitting final sale territory and was about to pull the trigger, but decided to peruse the Bay of Ease before dropping $100.

Shot out an offer on those lime green/navy ones everyone is selling, seller accepted for $60+$15 shipping and authentication (which is useless for these shoes but ok fine). Not a moment too soon bc I have three pairs that are all approaching 20 wears.

Have any of you been tracking usage to see how long they last? I'm wearing through the toe first on those old ones. Tread starting to disappear in the forefoot but cushioning still feels good.

I just came back to complain that they are still making these in women’s sizes and have apparently discontinued men’s (again), which is strange, since the last two releases of unisex sizes sold out much more quickly in the men’s sizes. The demand is clearly there.

I wore my Osaka size 13 GP turbos tonight, and they felt so cushy after wearing my zoom NXTs the last couple of outings.
Comments like these make wide footers fill up with so much resentment. Never shall we ever enjoy the sensation of using these on court. Sizing up = bye bye heel lockdown. Staying the same size = crushed feet :)

Did you try removing the insole and riding on top of the zoom? I’ve done that in them, nice ride actually but the knitted material above the zoom bag is a little slippery
