I've been liking the GP turbo half a size up for all the bounce and cushion. but after seeing zverev catch his toe and collapse on his foot like that....i'm rethinking if it's worth the extra length, as i've often caught my toe with the gp turbos moving side to side :X3:

no more clunky shoes for me

I just got shoe stretchers today.

if these things work well on my old Slazengers (going to leave them in overnight) I may have to think about giving the GPs a shot. If it doesn't work the shoe will be in an unreturnable state though.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I tried these on once, way too small a toe box, with barely any space for my toes to flex. Comfortable as all get out, but i could not wear them, even in a full shoe size larger
I was thinking of going one full size up cause I wear US13 and there isn't a US13.5 available. You saved me some money.

Curious if anyone has experienced lower back pain after using GP Turbos after prolonged use.

Started to shop @ for new shoes since my GP's were losing traction, cushioning. Have loved them for my knees after using Vapor 9's. Picked up a pair of Gel Resolution 8's this week and played for 4 hours over the weekend and back pain has noticeably decreased. Coincidentally enough, looked at when I purchased my GP's and it was October, around the same time my back pain started. Just curious if anyone else had issues caused by too much cushioning, which I guess is a thing:

Well, i have had more back pain lately but not sure if its related to the shoes or not

No, the GP have been magic for my lower body. Played in Vapors for a long time and they were very tough on my legs/glutes/back. Eventually switched to Cage4 and that was better on the joints but rough on the feet (calluses on fire after matches). GP is easy on everything.

I played for 90min today after being out since April with an arm injury. My legs should be wrecked, but they feel fine. YMMV obviously

Vapors are speedy kind of shoes like Solution Speed FF2 so their main point is to be light and quick and not really cushioned/durable. GP Turbo is super cushioned so no surprise it's better for the body. It should be similar to GR8 or Court FF2.

H... he knows dude... Did you not see what he was replying to? Context, man.

why are they discontinuing this line ?
nike executive: is the gp turbo profitable?

finance guy: yes not as profitable as the signature basketball shoes but still sells out pretty fast and is difficult to find

nike executive: so we can keep selling it?
production guy: yes we just have to order more from this cheap sweatshop and have a full size run in 3-4 weeks

nike executive: we can even make more that before because it still sells out everywhere right?

design guy: yes, should we start brainstorming some new colorways?

nike executive: NO!! NO MORE GP TURBOS!!! MWAHAHA

everyone there: ....wait what? why even bother asking us all those questions if you are just going to say no?

nike executive: just to remind myself how little I care about those things. I only care about pissing people off. so much so that I'm willing to make less money to do it.

everyone there: that's really petty dude

nike executive: MWAHAHAHA. yes that is me. captain petty MWAHAHAH!

man after 3 weeks of stretching my Slazenger Icons and Barricade Bounces I can safely say that, for my feet, it DIDN'T work! :-D at least not significant enough to be confident buying any shoe I want without checking for fitting notes beforehand.

while it did widen my shoes, it hardly beats a shoe that fits properly by default. Not even close!

Since this is no longer available, what's' the next most comfortable shoes in Nike lineup ?

Hey man. You already asked this before ok? You have a reputation, and I do not wish to interact with you. This is out of fear though, not hatred. If it was hatred I would have just blocked but really that smelly feet comment really struck fear within me and now even your display pic gives me anxiety ok?

So they will just release it for women only?

I mean, if they had Osaka as major endorser and knew she won't switch to new model they could just customize them a bit or leave them as they are with new colourways?

Now they released a new model and barely any pro is using it.

Put a year on my GP turbos. Mix of doubles and singles, 5-10 hours a week.

Didn't know shoes wear out in much less time, didn't even realize it has been a year, and honestly didn't feel too much difference before the last month.

Looked at the bottom and the midsole is showing in places and is pretty smooth in areas, but haven't been slipping more than a handful of times. Cushion seems blown though. Started getting foot pain all over, heel is much lower, insole is paper thin around there, torn inside etc but I'm surprised they lasted this long.

Only have two pairs in the reserves, but new pair instantly took away all the pain from just walking in the old shoes.

Is it worth getting an insole to prolong the life of shoes in general? Might use the old ones for clay.

Anyway I'm pretty impressed. Used some rush pros before this and they were just as worn on the sole even with the 6 month guarantee (assuming more durable rubber) and less singles play.

How often do you guys change these out?

My experience....

I always use a different insole for every pair. Original insoles don't last long for me (considering I sweat a lot). Sorbothane classic full insoles (can be used with original insoles) last almost forever or spenco heavy duty (need to remove original insoles) or RX comfort insoles (can be used with original insoles) last for a long time.

Have you tried the spenco polysorb cross trainer?

Yes I have used both (cross trainer and heavy duty). I found them to be pretty similar weight wise and heavy duty just last forever (used on a few pairs and still going strong). Sorbothane classic full insoles also last forever (put it at the bottom and original on top).

Only time I felt pain was when I continued to use worn out heels. Once I replace it with a new pair, all good but without those insoles I will feel pain before wearing out shoes for sure. I have tried many insoles and settle on those two.

why is it that Osaka can continue to get new colors and GP turbo whenever she wants ?? while we can't even get the suckiest color
