NikeCourt Essentials vs. Nike Elite

What are your thoughts on the NikeCourt Essentials socks vs the Nike Elite socks? Basketball or tennis version

I use my essentials socks more than my elites because I feel like the essentials give a tighter fit and more padding compared to the elites.

the elites have basically dried up and gone away.. replaced by these rather basic socks with same look as the prior version. i bought a ton of the basketball socks during an 18 month stretch where nike was giving $10 to fill out online surveys.. stocked up on like 40 pairs for what you should pay for socks..$2-3 a pair.. they are all still like new. they wash well and are such high quality..plus the sheer number, i will have socks for years to come. i used to think that expensive socks was a scam until i wore some. they are truly great and possibly worth the $14 price tag

Elites here. More colors. The lines are iconic. Plus they have black and white socks with POPS of color as opposed to full clucking orange socks

The padding is beyond plush enough. No blisters for me. I also find the court essentials to be too thin in the crew part

I’ve never tried the Nike Court Essentials, I wear Nike Elite socks when I play. I got all of mine off the Bay for half of the retail price. I might give the Essentials a try for comparison though.

+1 for the Elite. The material feels so much better for me. I would have stocked up on 6 pairs of white and black had I known they were seemingly going away.

I personally have not tried the essential socks. I am an Elite guy myself.

But I have been off court training with my children that have both. They complain about how thick the essentials are and how sweaty their feet get. They prefer the feel of the thinner Elites as well.

Yes I’ve since then purchased Nike Court Essential socks. They’re softer and more comfortable than the Elite socks. The Elite socks aren’t bad, the Essential socks are just a tad better in my opinion.
