I was wondering the same thingAnyone identified any differences, besides that one eyelet?
They did have Vapor but still used numbering system even with RF attached to it.The even dumber model name? From 1 to premium to 1.5, could Nike be any more unimaginative? Pay Alcaraz and Sinner more and use their names? Sinnerman? Zoom Carlitos? I mean they had RF and milked it for years.![]()
lol.People were asking for GP, they have sinner behind them, who cares if it is 1.5 or 2.0? They’ll sell because people wanted GPs and because of Sinner.
Only difference I can spot is the last eyelet on the medial side being TPU, not the lacing loop thing like the 1s. Maybe that’s the goal? Seems like it might work but it’s also Nike so like maybe notIf they improve the fit and lockdown, these would be really nice
I had the opposite experience. The GP Challenge 1 are very comfortable for me, way more so than Vapors. I’m significantly overweight too, so I am putting more stress on the shoes than the average playerThe version 1 were very unimpressive cushion wise for claiming to have zoom air.

Wait, do yours not? I was surprised since TW takes live pictures as far as I know, and their pics show the loop. I got them from another retailer (sorry TW) and was surprised. They do seem to wrap around my ankle a bit more, but they need a bit more break-in, so I switched back to my slate gray 1s when hitting today. It's not significant heel slip, just that the lacing doesn't quite wrap my ankle snugly in the front, and I feel like I'm either cranking down on the laces ALL the way just to have them loosen up or. I have quite narrow ankles, so this is a problem in many shoes for me.Wow. So I guess I bought one of the older models without the inner top eye loop.

For context in case anybody cares: I have a low volume and pretty narrow foot with a couple hot spots from old injuries some anatomical things up the chain and went TTS in these. They're roomy in the pairs I've worn once broken in. No irritation except from laces on a spot that will rub in pretty much any shoe that's actually supportive. A low profile otc orthotic and/or double socking or thick socks fixes the heel fit for me, though. I think I prefer these shoes with the stock insole because they're almost too stiff with an orthotic in there, but performance is great either way for me. Might have to modify the front of the ankle collar with a little padding if I get sick of the slightly fussy fit - I was expecting worse with all the feedback, though. Hoping my pairs with the actual eyelet stay secure after some break-in. Just wish they were more durable. The uppers stand up to my sliding, but the outsoles go bald quick on me - still playable though.
Edit: tongue is gusseted on the 1.5 according to a non-US ndc product description. My two with the actual eyelet do not have that. So the eyelet was maybe an in-line change or something that snuck through. The description says more room in the forefoot too...so might not be good for me but might fix the sizing issues folks were having.
That's the white/black colorway, right? I said in my post it was my Lava and Psychic blue pairs. All my other pairs (2 white/black, 1 black white, 1 turquoise, 1 slate gray, all of these are pre-HO25) all have the loop. So the holiday/winter 2025 pairs have an eyelet like the 1.5 does. TW's images do not, so maybe they photographed a sample? Or some pairs do, and some don't? No clue, but I think I like that eyelet rather than the loop for my skinny ankle. Easy remedy on the looped pairs, just annoying I suppose. My GPC1s do not:

Yeah, it was a pleasant surprise when I opened the boxes. Liked it enough to stock up with the loop anyway thoughYes, mine were dated for the SU23 original release.

Toungue is more gusseted which is better for stability, nadals custom shoes has a gusseted toungue and the new medial lacing eyeletCan someone sparknnote the technical updates ? At first glance it looks identical to the 1
Thx dudeToungue is more gusseted which is better for stability, nadals custom shoes has a gusseted toungue and the new medial lacing eyelet
Wow the women’s colorways are so far my favorite
Google search shows the followingAnyone identified any differences, besides that one eyelet?
With the GP Challenge 1, the women's size 10.5 matched my men's size 9 exactly from what I could tell holding them against each other. Meaning the soles, when put against each other, were the exact same.Has anyone gotten the women's versions? Is it the same size and width if you get the right size? I have to note that the women's colors are much more nicely designed, especially this black one

What I don't know is whether Nike uses the same cushioning in men's vs women's. I could see them being different since the average man is heavier than the average woman.
I agree the new women's black color way looks sharp.
Yeah it's the same width. I forgot to mention that in addition to looking to be the same, they also felt the same when I tried them on.As long as the width is the same, I’m in
Interesting design on those top two medial eyelets for hers.
The 1's had clay models in Europe, and there was a women's clay in the US. Hopefully they make some for the 1.5 but who knows, it seems like Nike isn't doing too well financially so maybe they are narrowing their model options.Do they ever release clay models for the GP Challenge? I don't see a clay model for the 1 or 1.5.
