Nikecourt x Roger Federer Collection

So I received an e-mail from the local Nike online store (I am from Hong Kong) about this new Nikecourt x RF collection being available online. So being a Federer fan, I clicked on the link to see what's available. I did a double take when I saw the prices... a plain white t-shirt with a tiny Nikecourt logo on one sleeve, and a RF logo on the back... is going for HKD$899 (roughly USD$115.)
"The NikeCourt x RF Men's Top provides premium off-court comfort with refined updates. Tennis great Roger Federer's unwavering eye for detail shows in movement-conscious construction, elevated finishing and signature touches inspired by key moments in his life."
What is going on with this!? It's a plain white t-shirt... not to mention the other prices they are charging for other items...call me cheap but these pricing are simply ridiculous.

As much as I love Nike tennis apparel, I just can't justify spending HKD 400+ for every shirt I buy.

The last kit I bought was Rafa's IW 2016 kit, and that set me back HKD 950, and that was with discounts.

Astronomical.

I picked up the shoes and one of the long sleeve shirts (sweatshirt)... the shoes are sharp and pretty comfortable. The shirt is very nice... great quality and nice look! I'll try to post some pics in the am.

Yeah I don't mind the collection and obviously they've priced it to ensure it maintains the exclusivity and luxuary feel of the brand which is what they are after...while all that's great and they're certainly not the first to use pricing as a means of increasing the exclusivity and luxuary sentiment towards a product or line of products, reality is I think they might have gone a touch overboard on this occasion.

$225 for a pair of essentially track pants...don't get me wrong I love my Ralph Lauren track pants in winter and have paid close to $200 (Australian $) for them in the past but US $225 (just under $300 Australian $) for Nike track pants is over the top.

His on-court polos are way better that this collection.

I will still spend money (for a reasonable price) on those he used from 2009-2012 than this. The RF logo is barely seen at the back of the shirt

Agreed. Nike needs to better market the RF logo. Whatever happened to those RF sock concepts?
