NikeCourt Zoom GP Challenge 1

No, I do know the colorways (custom too) are PE but overal the shoe do look like retail. I’d have thought she gotten the Nike special treatment where she’d have made her custom shoe look like the GPC1
Yes, that's what I meant: it seems like only the color is different and not available compared to the shoe on sale

My feeling when these shoes came out is that they weren't all that well received; however, this is one of the threads that gets the most attention, so are they growing on people? How many on here use them as their primary competition shoe?

I have a pair that I like for everyday use. They look good with jeans, but they aren't my preference on court as I much prefer my Diadora b.icons.

I play and practice in these and love them so much. So much that, and I'm embarrassed to say it, I actually have 23 unused pairs on my shelves and 2 pairs in use (one clay, one hard court).

They fit my feet perfectly for sports use. A very tiny bit snug, but nothing overwhelming. From a running store's foot scan, my feet are supposedly E width (not 2E).

I get no toe jamming in them, whereas I did with my pinky toes in the Vapor X, 9.5, Pro 1 (the Pro 1 was super narrow, ugh), 11, and 12. They are also very supportive underneath, and my feet and knees never hurt after use. I can't move in them perfectly the way I could in the Vapor 9.5, but I've accepted the tradeoff for better support and cushioning.

I'm 39 and overweight if that matters.

No shame in having spares.

Is anyone using these as their all-the-time shoe?

Thinking of taking the plunge. My brother gave me a 10.5 which he didn't like, ostensibly to sell because they're a half size too small for me but I put them on and kind of liked them.

Thinking they might be comparable to the Hypercourt Pinnacles I currently use after perusing the reviews. Heavier but high energy return.

I use them for all of my tennis, mainly for the greater support they provide over the Vapor line. I don’t feel as confident stopping on a dime the way I do in Vapors, but I also don’t get pain from the shoes anymore. I’m 39 and overweight, for reference.

Something I just noticed is that it looks like there's a change starting with the blue colorway from this post: https://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/ind...m-gp-challenge-1.759070/page-11#post-19002508

the top eyelet on the inner part of the shoe is now a regular eyelet surrounded in plastic instead of a "strap" of fabric like the other eyelets on the inner part of the shoe.
The photo on the tennis warehouse website shows straps for all the eyelets on the inner part of the shoe. I wonder which one is on the actual shoe.

Appreciate the feedback. I too am more of a Vapor guy, but the 12 have an annoying amount of TPU on the toebox where the foot bends. Didn't work for me.
So I'm thinking for hardcourt to get something a little more comfortable but still fast feeling.

It’s too bad they didn’t add ability for runners knot on the 1.5, but still a step in the right direction.

My usual rotation was GR9 for all round use and the original Vapor pro 1’s for matches. Unfortunately I’ve burned through my last GR9 and have one VP1 pair left, so I’ve been trying to find something else for training etc. Lacoste’s AG LT have been probably the best so far, especially if found on good discount but I quickly ran a hole in the sole (I’m a toe dragger and usually wear toe out before sole)
I’ve played for a few hours in the GP challenge and am pleasantly surprised. There’s some toe jamming and fit isn’t exactly like a glove, but they are surprisingly fast, and I didn’t have to break them in at all. Still have to give them a few more hours, but there just something about them that I like….I could see my self getting another pair when on big discount.

Regular size or half up for GP?

I’m TTS 10 technically, but in tennis shoes I usually go 9.5–narrow foot. Im 9.5 in Vapor pros / gel res 9.

GP 9.5 felt better in the heel , but I just knew my toes were going to smash just by walking around the store so went 10.
Interesting. I’m size 10 in everything. Went size 10 so we’ll see how that goes
