Played 2 hours outdoor hard court with these today, warm (25C) humid weather. Hate the tongue so much, no matter how tight I tie the shoelaces, the tongue moved the "outer" side of the foot then expose my upper foot to the "corner" of the last hole. The rubbing to my feet is unpleasant. Containment is poor unless the laces are tied very tight. I had tons of slippery during break in period. Shoes was tight then after 30 minutes it loosen up. Had to tie again then containment improved.

The good... cushioning is great (not GPT awesome still). I was noticeably faster chasing ball, whatever Nike did on the speed board it works. Most recent shoes are Mizuno Wave Exceed 5, and Asics Court FF2. Neither gave me that speedy sensation, even the shoes are heavy, I could just sprint. I know it's early but after 2 hours of hard court, the shoes look completely new. Traction was great.

Such a mixed experience. Overall, I still want to play in these shoes, if the rubbing doesn't go away or got worse, then I will have to give these up.

Quick update after 5 more hours of playing. The rubbing has mostly gone. I put my own insole which fixed the discomfort caused by the slightly low arch. The heel slippery still there, definitely need to tie the laces very tightly, and by the way the laces do not secure its place. I am going to keep the shoes because really hate to see perfectly playable shoes go to landfill. However, I will only recommend them if they are US$80 (free shipping as well). Any where above that is a no, even US$80.01.

It's about time...They were already selling quite well with Tiafoe, but now, if he continues to wear them Sinner, will have even more visibility and will be linked to the winning player, with the consequence that they will sell even more.
It is likely that the vapor 12, spring 2025, (which is said to be different from the Vapor 11 and vapor pro II) will be worn by Alcaraz...we'll see

Like the color but the blood splatter doesnt make sense? Is it like ppl jumping onto the subway tracks getting splatted or is there a serial killer?

Challenge court had splatter paint on every shoe / shirt mate

Is that window on the bottom supposed to show a full air zoom unit that it doesn't have? Or is it just showing the EVA foam?

Is this the shoe that I need to switch to when my supply of hideous bright green GP turbos run out (I think I've resorted to buying the Osakas w/ pink flowers)?

I've been using my GPC1s for my daily casual shoes and I must say they are pretty comfortable so far. I feel like they sit a little higher than my on-court Asics GR9Ws. I am using them with my prescription orthotics.

Walked in today wearing my GP Turbos and tried on some Challenge 1s... the back of my foot started to feel a little pain just walking around the store. Is it the plastic they added to the back? Does that go away with break in? Can not see myself even practicing in these if that are stays that way.

hard to say, think you need to try multiple sizes and commit before knowing. i for one found them to be pretty stiff on the lateral side but the medial side was softer, i returned mine so cant say for sure. if you are looking for something close to the GP turbo, check out the KD15

Good read, especially the last couple of ones.

I have retired my first pair of blk/wht GPT and used the first pair of the NO edition GPT in blue/pink colour way I stocked up when released in 2022. The cushion and the “energy return” on the court is amazing on the new pair. It is so soft/comfortable and addictive. I felt no pain on the joints/lower back after yesterday’s matches.

still have another pair (why/orange/pink) left, and now that I play more frequently, I think I should start looking at replacement.

GPC1 looks to be a worthy replacement, now that Osaka and Tiafoe are using/endorsing too.
Can I check what size should I go for the GPC1 if I am currently using US10/EU44 on the GPTs. Thanks!

Stick with a 10. I find them true to size, but you will have a little more width in the toe box vs the GPT.

Forgot to review these, went with the CG1s.. It's not a GP turbo and shouldn't really be compared to it. For some reason I couldn't even walk in the house without my foot crashing into the front of the shoe. The GP turbo did have the same issue but there was enough cushioning and softer materials in the front. The plastic was a bit rigid in the toe area.

These could be a fine buy for the right person at 100, but at full price it doesn't feel like a top of the line shoe in terms of quality
