Just bought a pair on sale for under $100 (w/ my son's discount). I've been trying so many different models to succeed the GPTs. The latest was the Ad-Accels. I differ greatly w/ foot Dr. Zach's opinion. Every one has been disappointing. IMO, these are the closest thing to the GPTs. They don't have as much cushion, but they're the closest.

give the sabrina 2 a try if you are willing to look outside of tennis, they have better full length cushion than the GPC1

I just recently received my air zoom insoles from the bay. I've tried the full length zoom units, and they were too much when inserting them into another pair of shoes (they hurt my instep). The new ones feature just a zoom unit in the forefoot and another in the heel. I tested them against the OG GPTs, and they offer more cushion when inserted into any tennis shoe, including the GPCs (obviously w/ 2 zoom units per) and even the Mizuno Wave Exceeds. I think I'm going to just insert these insoles into other brands' shoes that I've enjoyed in the past, now that the cushioning puzzle is solved.

Yes. IINM the racket in the photo is a relatively new release. In this colorway that is. From this year I believe. The initial release in a different colorway (white) was in 2022.
Really cool. I wonder who owns it now. Back in the day they belonged to Benetton group, I think...

Bought myself a pair of white GPC1s last week and tried them out today for the first time. I first went with size 47 (my usual) but quickly noticed I should size up for these babies. 47.5 is exactly perfect, even though I need to lace them a bit tighter and more often.

I’ve owned many pairs of tennis shoes over the years, because I like trying out multiple models and brands to see which is most to my liking. Most recently I went with the Cage 4 and Wilson Rush 4.5, and I can confidently say these GPC1s offer so much more. Movement is quick and snappy, I feel like bouncing on my forefeet, and they’re very reactive to sudden movements. I even felt quicker than I’ve ever been before. Cushioning is fantastic, better than all previous shoes (perhaps even when combined).

Curious to see how they’ll hold up in the future, but very enthusiastic so far. I have also bought a pair of ASICS Court FF3 last week and I’m also a big fan of those. GPC1s offer just a tad more cushioning which is right up my alley.

Also wanted to express my thanks to everyone here posting their experiences — it has helped me take this decision and buy the GPC1s. Hopefully this review will inspire other people to try them as well!

In your experience compared to the VC4 should I pick half size bigger? Thanks

Yes, for me the toe box was a bit small in my usual size and I felt uncomfortable moving too much (let alone sliding or making sharp adjustments in my movement).
Your mileage may vary - if you're uncertain you could try both sizes and see what works best for you.

I've had the GP Challenge 1's for about 3 weeks now, and I found that my shoelaces are already starting to tear down. These laces may have another good 1-2 sessions in them.
Did anyone else encounter the same issue? Did you ask the vendor for a solution? Tips are most welcome!
