so they're just ripping off old nike basketball shoes from years ago? a la the original hyperdunk from 2008. same colorway as the olympics version and everything.
the hyperdunks were great shoes though. curious if these are as stable since these don't have those huge plastic panels on the sides.

The toebox exterior reminds me of the failed Nike Shox Aces

Funnily enough I actually had this shoe when I was playing in juniors. What a throwback :-D Nike bringing back an iconic colorway/silhouette shouldn't be immediately seen as a bad thing though like some people seem to be suggesting with it being like the 2008 hyper dunks/olympic color way. I, for one, am excited about getting some of those shoes that are nostalgic and couldn't snag the first time around.

I am also definitely on the side of optimistic though, so could just be my bias.

Also side note, Nike really needs to stop kidding around and put in that extra eyelet, I can't use shoes that don't have them

Absolutely love the look and the V12 chassis seems like it's going to be great but no chance that upper holds up to even mild play - this is a coaching shoe haha

Love the nod to an iconic BB shoe.
Not loving the lack of toe drag durability...and potentially the return of the mold issue that plagued the Vapor 6 in this OG Flywire upper...although as @raven5288 mentions above, it looks like fake Flywire (and not the original TPU package the promoted the dreaded red/black mold).

If the idea is similar to that of Vapor AJ3 and Vapor x Kyrie v, it is possible that there will be some other colorway of this shoe during the year.....we'll see

can you let on what happened there exactly? it seemed like it only applied to predominantly white colorways?

Oh, that’s interesting. Is this meant to be a premium variant of the Vapor 12, like when they do a Jordan version of the Vapor?

Hi, yes, as said above or in other posts, the sole is that of the vapor 12, but the upper is that of the hyperdunk '08 basketball shoes (kobe Bryant); an operation that recalls, as you may have guessed, the Vapor Aj3 (Federer), the Vapor x kyrie V (Kyrgios), vapor court Foamposite (Never worn by Federer because he moved to Uniqlo).
The hypersmash perhaps will be worn by Kyrgios or by Alcaraz as the most successful player to make them more visible.....We'll see :)

The 9.5s ended up at Ross? When? Where? lol
I know. Difficult to believe, but I also knew someone who got 9.5s from Marshall's in Connecticut. He only played casually and was surprised when I complimented him on the shoes. He told me he thought these were just normal shoes and even complained about the cushioning and fit. When I told him how heavily sought after they were, he said he doesn't believe me since if they were indeed so "sought after", how can they possibly end up in a Marshall's? I didn't even know how to reply because his logic was sound, and I was so dumbfounded by the fact that he found these at a clearance store that I couldn't think critically.

I have a feeling that I will pick up a pair anyway but my god I wish they made a bit more of an effort to make this an actually playable model. One slide/reach and these are gonna be toast.
