NikeCourt Zoom Vapor 11 (2023)

no it feels like three hundred kabillion galaxies tied around your ankles. the weight is so unbearable, worse than armored medieval greaves for sure. if bublik just takes them off, that will be 50 slams in a row easily but he is a nice guy and want to give the other guys a chance.
Bublik is a pro ATP. i don't think you can compare him to amateur player looking for an edge

Both went back for different reasons, but VP2 were pinching my instep even more than the VP1. I probably would've kept the V11 if the toe durability was better.

It’s notable that Chris mentions toe wear as an issue; he drags his left foot on backhands in particular and will no doubt wear through the upper at this spot pretty quickly. I was interested in these shoes as a ZVC4 fan, but this design flaw unfortunately has me reconsidering a purchase. The lack of more durable material on the V11s at this location is even more puzzling considering the toe design of the ZVC4. My apologies if I’ve missed other OPs who also pointed out this issue; I do remember it being referenced - good catch!

I just noticed the added toe protection on the Salmon/Purple women's hard courts compared with the Grey/Green clay courts in the pictures above; wonder if those come in a clay sole?

Any idea of any release of the all red women's (hard, not clay) or the teal? The actual good colors aren't being released in time :(

Got my hand on a pair on sale. Overall fit is good, Nike needs to step up their lacing game though still need to find a good lock. Played my first two hours with them tonight, first impressions are they're responsive but clunky at the same time. I don't usually feel the weight of the shoes but these feel heavy on the feet. Could be tired from my run yesterday, need more time. I think this winter I'll cop some 2s to compare. Ive got a feeling they might be the happy medium I'm looking for.

What's structurally different between those two?
The red version has rubber added to act as a toe guard. Numerous people have complained that Nike added no protection to the toe cap which results in holes forming there very quickly (usually 1-2 weeks of moderate play)

The pictures are limited but it appears to have the updated toe guard on this one. The toe guard rubber still doesn't look that durable.
It's actually a pretty hard/firm rubber. Similar to the Vapor Cage. I just wish there was more of it. I haven't burned through the toes on either pair that I currently have but I sort of which the new toe protection was more dense. Then again, it's better than nothing at all.

I'm not familiar w/ the Cage's toe guard. My Vapor X Knit toe guard didn't last long and that was a hard plastic.

The Vapor X toe is a less durable material than what you'll find on the medial/inside of the Vapor 11 (which is the same material found in the Vapor Cage). I referenced the Vapor Cage because it's the first Nike shoe I can recall having this design. Nike simply got smart and extend that hard plasticky rubber around the toe in these second versions of the 11s. I can't say how durable it's going to be but it's definitely an upgrade in terms of longevity.

so does anyone know if these came out already and sold out? T.I. says that "The release will come in mid-2023, and is expected to be in limited quantities. A retro of the original Mac Attack is expected to follow." Did I miss it? I didn't see or hear anything about it. :(

THey have not been released yet as far as I can tell

Just my two cents worth with regard to the Vapor 11's. I personally found them a bit too 'chunky'. Very stable with lateral movement, but just 'felt' as if i was dragging my feet a little too much. Felt a fraction too heavy. Your thoughts?

I agree. But also have to play the long game. I felt similar in Barricade and after a few wears, it felt support with a bit more comfort and I felt great in them. For me I'm wearing out my tennis shoes in about 10 months, so I'm looking for a little more thicker outsoles with the wear out areas but overall light weight so it's not insanely bulky. I really enjoyed vapor x but wore out within a few months. Barricade took 10 months, I feel the Vapor 11 will be similar if not longer hopefully. I think I'm going to even get 2 pairs, maybe GR8 with Vapor 11 to go back and forth so I don't get stuck with a worn out shoe and no alternative since I'm picky about colors lol.

yeah, noticing the weight as well. Anyone else noticing how stinking hot your feet get inside of these? They just feel a little clunky which sucks, had decently high hopes for them. Even tripped up on myself a few times. And now that the Lav 2s are being discontinued my hunt continues hahah.

Buy some more LAV2s. THey are in stock in places still. Eat a higher cost upfront to have pairs of shoes that you know you like
