More of a mixture of the Vapor 10/Pro 1Seems like this is the direct update to the Vapor X
Having seen images of all three I don't understand where people are getting this idea - the Hypersmash looks to be built on the exact same chassis and outsole as the V12, the only difference is that's it going to have a less drag-resistant upper in a couple of key areas. They're trying to do something similar to what they've done previously with the Vapor AJ3 and Kyrie/Kyrgios Vapor, no reason to believe they'd waste Hyperdunk brand equity on a cross-silo promo to a LOWER-end modelLooks like the Hypersmash could be takedown model compared to the Vapor 12 and Pro 3
Couldn't agree more. It's got a different, I think leather/fake leather(??), upper to accommodate the "special edition" variation like the Kyrie/Kyrgios series, but seems to very obviously be a Vapor 12.Having seen images of all three I don't understand where people are getting this idea - the Hypersmash looks to be built on the exact same chassis and outsole as the V12, the only difference is that's it going to have a less drag-resistant upper in a couple of key areas. Honestly this is basically what the Vapor 11 was - still "quick" but not a full on 'speed' shoe with lots of padding and protective elements just like the Cage/Ballistec...If Nike can bring elements of the old Vapor back into a new model, I would wager a Cage or Court Ballistecs line. Perhaps combine the two, Nike CourtBallistec Cage 1

This is certainly the so; we just have to see who will wear them (Hypersmah)Having seen images of all three I don't understand where people are getting this idea - the Hypersmash looks to be built on the exact same chassis and outsole as the V12, the only difference is that's it going to have a less drag-resistant upper in a couple of key areas. Just CourtBallistec would be a dream come true.... But, now that Rafa is retired who will endorse the shoe.If Nike can bring elements of the old Vapor back into a new model, I would wager a Cage or Court Ballistecs line. Perhaps combine the two, Nike CourtBallistec Cage 1
Nah, the Vapor 11 had nothing to do with either of the models. It was just a chunky Vapor cop out that Nike thought was a good idea but imho was bad as the VP2sHonestly this is basically what the Vapor 11 was - still "quick" but not a full on 'speed' shoe with lots of padding and protective elements just like the Cage/Ballistec...
Nope, Zoom Vapor Cage 4 has nothing to do with the Court Ballistec or Cage lines from before. Nothing is remotely similarLike the Zoom Cage 4?
A streamlined, speedy, supportive, and durable shoe?
I can care less who endorses it but either the CB or Cage line needs to come back. Separately or both in one silhouetteJust CourtBallistec would be a dream come true.... But, now that Rafa is retired who will endorse the shoe.
The Canadian player who used cage is now with barricade, but 3 different and really clear shoe lines might be the best way for costumers.

Vapor 11 is a great shoe, sorry it didn't work for you. To each of their own. I bought a pair in the Mac Attack colorway just to try out (more of I got a good deal for $57 before tax) Yes the durability is there but as for comfortability it was too clunky. My forefoot on the right side of my right foot keep on getting blisters. It kept rubbing against the sidesVapor 11 is a great shoe, sorry it didn't work for you. I don't think the Mac attack is representative of the vapor 11 line, I never tried the Macs but I read they felt completely different. Also, you might just not like the 11s.To each of their own. Hopefully these Vapor 12 will be better. The last Nike shoe I wore were the Air Zoom NXTs before I switched to the Yonex Eclipsion 4s which I love so far
Bottom looks nice. I wish it had more ground contact for lateral stability. It does look fast though.
Yeah, Vapor 11 seems to be a controversial shoe. It depends on what you are expecting from it before you pull the trigger to buy it. But if you are getting it at a steep discount, definitely worth a try.Hmm I'll split the difference between you 2 with the 11s. I thought they were a good but not great shoe and had their flaws. I would 100% echo them feeling clunky especially lateral movements or anything that wasn't moving straight forwards but I would say they were very comfortable but I wouldn't categorize them as a speed shoe. Just not the right shoe for me and my play style, I'll still throw them on every once in a while.
We can agree to disagree but to me the attributes are all there - the midsole and wrap-around support/chassis style are classic Vapor, the way the inside of the shoe is built up around the collar is classic Ballistec, as is the the logo appliqué mixed with the rubber treatment on the upper. While I agree that there's not much Cage in the overall look, the fit and 'ride height' is there - it's not as low as a traditional Vapor but not nearly as up high as the Ballistec - it has the fit and overall feel of a decent Cage-style shoe though. Again it's a mash-mash, and I think the shoe would have succeeded if they didn't insist on calling it a Vapor. The 12 looks promising though!Nah, the Vapor 11 had nothing to do with either of the models. It was just a chunky Vapor cop out that Nike thought was a good idea but imho was bad as the VP2s

I'm betting they did that for weight saving. I'm not sure how I feel about this version as I really like the 11.Bottom looks nice. I wish it had more ground contact for lateral stability. It does look fast though.
The shot of Rune's has two separate outsole sections similar to the V6-9.5, with the shank between the sections. The VX had a connected outsole with a cutaway for the shank, similar to the one Le Coq you posted. So I'm going to say not much of a copy of the Le Coq and more of the V6-9.5 style. The upper actually looks like an evolution of the Vapor X Knit upper, probably lighter weight.
The outsole is interesting and actually looks like a variation (or near copy) of this
The tread pattern design looks very similar, not the outsole shape/style.The shot of Rune's has two separate outsole sections similar to the V6-9.5, with the shank between the sections. Thanks...beautiful! I hope (but it should be like this) there will be colors with a prevalence of white and inserts of other coloursJust released Nike photos of the coming Vapor Pro 12 model. Im excited
I dont know how to post these photos but here they are: https://x.com/_1stlook/status/1867108388599107815
Yeah I like them too! And for sure there will be many colours available.Thanks...beautiful! I hope (but it should be like this) there will be colors with a prevalence of white and inserts of other colours
Damn. I'm gonna have to get those just for the colorway
So when do these hit the stores?
Currently, the Vapor Pro 3 is scheduled to launch on December 20th and the Vapor 12 in early February.
I dislike this. The Vapor 12 should come out before the VP3.Per TW's response in another thread:
Nike 2025 Shoe Releases
Hi @TW Staff Can you give us insight on the release dates for the following: Nike Vapor 12 Nike Vapor Pro 3 Thanks!tt.tennis-warehouse.com

nah, I didn't mean that pros won't wear it in AO. For sure they will. Just it is weird to me that they do not release the Vapor 12 with the Vapor Pro 3 before the AO. They usually release the slam collection a week or two before the relevant Slam. Releasing after the Slam is something absurd to me. At least not many other brands did it beforeWhat makes you think pros playing in the AO won't have it? Seems like an ideal marketing opp.
It makes complete sense from a business standpoint. They have to make the most profit selling the cheaper shoe the vapor pro 3 before releasing the nicer vapor 12. If they released the vapor 12 before or with the vapor pro 3, it would cannabalize the sales of the vapor pro 3.nah, I didn't mean that pros won't wear it in AO. For sure they will. but for the next two years, Vapor Pro 3 will coexist with Vapor 12. If Nike is that concerned about that, why bother to release the Vapor Pro 3? I wish it weren’t the case either, but business is business.
I had written Nike Off. They always seem to drift further and further from good products they make whether it be shoes or cloths.
But, looks like they are correcting their wrongs and bringing back some of the key features of Vapor. Remids me more of the Pro, which was a decent shoe.
I'll be curious to see what you all experience with it.
